Eileen - just saying her name brings a warmth to my heart. She was more than just a friend at the Findhorn Foundation; she was an inspiration, a guiding light. I had the priviledge of touring the UK with her. We also shared a special connection in the sanctuary.
March 6th is World Book Day and this set me thinking about ‘Findhorn’ and the incredible collection of related books and magazines that have come out of this Community since the 1960s...
Throughout the long process of caring for my wife, I started and ended each day with a reading from Opening Doors Within by co-founder Eileen Caddy. As well as sustaining and encouraging me, I was often astonished by the relevance and wisdom of the daily guidance. It was as if Eileen Caddy was speaking directly to me.
Putting up resistance in the face of difficulty only makes it worse, let it be, accept it, and no matter how hard, the key to changing it – is to love – that’s all you need. By our own power we can do nothing but be a channel, its love that loves through us; to put aside the ego, the small self (that always seeks retaliation) is to be a channel for love.
You have to have a vision and you have to have faith.
