The Story of Biomatrix Water
I am Biomatrix Water, and I exist to remind our cities they are meant to flow with life.

I am Hinterland Trust, a land spirit rooted in community. Not built, but grown through care, through many hands working together with purpose.
In the beginning was the garden, and the garden continues, but the forms that express this spirit are today far different from those of nineteen years ago.
From 1978, around the nucleus of Fred and Dick Barton, the idea of a 'school within a garden' has grown and taken shape at Cullerne, a ten-acre property adjacent to the caravan park overlooking Findhorn Bay.
A very early 'brochure' giving information about the Garden School with many wonderful images.
These 2025 musings about people and projects offer a fascinating look back over 40+years. I was prompted to write this memoir as I had unearthed a copy of The Findhorn Foundation Tree Chronicle from 1984.
Remembering those days of tree climbing when I absorbed and became semi-conscious of the strength, peace, protection, and stability which the trees offered, I began to understand that spiritual perception is primarily a qualitative experience.
This is the Tree Chronicle chapter about Cullerne Gardens, listing the many trees planted and the strategy for future management.
I’m very pleased to write that I attended a long-awaited landmark ecological event on Friday, 24th October 2025 - the official release of 7 European beavers (Castor fiber) into Loch Beinn a'Mheadhoin in Glen Affric.
In 2013 I was honoured to serve as master of ceremonies for the evening at the Universal Hall, celebrating the Findhorn Foundation's role as a global force for positive change, when we reported on WILD10, the 10th World Wilderness Congress.
