When Cluny Hill Hotel started accepting bookings for overnight stays, I had the inspiration to book the whole hotel for two nights to invite friends and Community to my birthday party.

I’m very pleased to write that I attended a long-awaited landmark ecological event on Friday, 24th October 2025 - the official release of 7 European beavers (Castor fiber) into Loch Beinn a'Mheadhoin in Glen Affric.

A great bird's eye view of the Park in 2025. The Down to Earth team from France24 visited the Community in their endeavour to meet people behind technological innovations in a bid for sustainable solutions. On 8th October 2025 this 10 min show was published on their website.
Archaeology at the Findhorn sanctuary site
During preliminary groundworks for the construction of the new sanctuary, the mechanical excavator exposed a shell deposit at the east end of the site. An archaeological study was performed. This post gives a summary as well as the full research paper.
Making the world a wilder place (2013)
In 2013 I was honoured to serve as master of ceremonies for the evening at the Universal Hall, celebrating the Findhorn Foundation's role as a global force for positive change, when we reported on WILD10, the 10th World Wilderness Congress.
Woodhead Community Mark 2
In 2026 we will be opening up to new members. Ideally it would be a couple with (or without) children, at least one of whom would have the time, energy and desire to continue to develop and caretake this place.
