Social & Cultural

People make a community – including individuals, families, and more. They form groups and associations to support a shared purpose, and together they create Community Culture.

The community grew from the small group of seven who started living on the Findhorn Bay Caravan Park in November 1962. There were about 20 people living in the Community in 1969, and by 1971 over 100. Today it is difficult to gauge how many community members there are, as they are spread out across the local area, but the number is probably over 500.

Each Community Member has helped to build this community, this Centre of Light; and every one is needed.
“Simply realise it takes all sorts to make a world, it takes many organs to make up a body, but all are needed to create the perfect. Therefore I need each one of you as you are doing your part to bring about My Plan. – Guidance via Eileen Caddy
