To Honour Fay Blackburn
Fay was an incredible community weaver. Given her deep involvement in so many aspects of this community, any tribute can only scratch the surface of the deep appreciation we want to express here.

For almost four years, Homecoming in Song & Stillness has become more than just an invitation. It has grown into an annual reunion of kindred souls, weaving together music lovers from all over the world with our Findhorn Taizé online community.
Easter Sunday 2025 - four years after the fire that destroyed the sanctuary at the heart of the Ecovillage Findhorn, community members gather to celebrate the opening of the beautiful new purpose-built sanctuary.
What might the Findhorn Community look and feel like when we are living our deepest potential—individually, together, and in harmony with the Earth? This follows on from a session I held during the Community Gathering 2025 - a place to collate our collective imaginations.
The Angel of Findhorn is one of the most defining and unique aspects of the Community’s spiritual history, one being that the Angel of Findhorn is a ‘cross-breed angel’, a being awakened and shaped, in part, by human consciousness.
The differences as I understand them between the Angel of Findhorn and the Landscape Angel ... are that one is an Angel dedicated to an ecosystem and one is an Angel dedicated to a human enterprise, it's outreach and effect in the world of humanity, and it's impact upon consciousness development.
In the 21st century, I imagine angels will by and large be what they have always been, but it is we who will be different. To see ourselves as angels see us, as fellow creative beings and potential partners, is a liberating gift and a challenge to our own self-images.
These three modes—Personal, Place, and Planet—are aspects of one multi-dimensional being, one bringing love into action on various levels of activity and outreach and one that seeks human partnership and collaboration.
The Landscape Angel is involved in what happens here, and the Angel of Findhorn is more interested in the Consciousness that we create that then gets disseminated.
