Many of the community take the opportunity of offering something that has inspired them, sometimes thoughts expressed in prose or poetry, or readings, dances, songs or a combination of these. The variety of these forms reflects the fact that here we have people of all ages, from many ways of life and many spiritual paths.
Simply put, sanctuary is the heart, the heart of our collective. The first sanctuary held the heart of the family, group and community, and the Light of Findhorn Sanctuary now holds the heart of the village, town and city of light.
In a world that was VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous), we were inspired by David Spangler’s reminder that if we could find the Island of Calm in ourselves, we had the opportunity to influence up to 1000 other people.
