2015 saw a strong movement in the Community to reflect on organisational structures and ways to move forward into the future. Both the NFA (Community Association) and the Findhorn Foundation engaged in parallel processes which produced substantial proposals for governance.

This posts introduces the Community Change Working Group (CCWG), its work and reports, with links to posts of original documents.

In September 2015 the group stated their purpose:

Propose new structures for collaboration, collective decision-making and information sharing in our community
Suggest a way to implement those structures together with the community
That the community decides on by Spring Equinox 2016

In January 2016 CCWG undertook a Community Survey which produced a lot of important data to help us understand better our socio-demographics, relationship to the Community, attitudes to the purpose/values of the Community, to decision-making etc. Click here for the detailed report of the Community Survey 2016.

The group created an evolving interactive organisational map of The Park Ecovillage which is still needs quite a lot of work. It is a great reflection of the complexity of the Community.

In March 2016 the group offered a detailed Draft Coordination Circle Proposal – read more here.

In November 2016 the group completed their work and handed the reins back to the Community. The work was summarised in the following presentation.

In 2017 a proposal was created to support next steps : CCWG NEXT PHASE PROPOSAL: Towards a Cohesive, Purposeful and Vibrant Community (January 2017 – December 2017)

In 2018 James Wood and Madelanne Rust-D’Eye were tasked with helping to look at the next steps. They created the comprehensive Findhorn Community Change Process Progress Review 2017-2018.
