My time living on the Isle of Erraid, for about two years from 1981 to '83, was a unique experience. Erraid is a small, rugged island off the Isle of Mull, part of the Inner Hebrides, and it is a world apart. We were a satellite community of the Findhorn Foundation
How I got here, my journey through the different programmes, and how I ended up becoming a Sacred Dance teacher, focaliser of the Transport Department and the driver for Eileen Caddy on her UK book tour.
Over the decades, the community was pioneering new ways of living. Now, many of those ideas have become mainstream. We experimented with wind turbines, solar panels, and eco-housing, and others have embraced and expanded on these concepts.
I lived for three years in the community at Findhorn. This experience has shaped my work with communities, wholeness and wellbeing as well as my music.

Throughout the long process of caring for my wife, I started and ended each day with a reading from Opening Doors Within by co-founder Eileen Caddy. As well as sustaining and encouraging me, I was often astonished by the relevance and wisdom of the daily guidance. It was as if Eileen Caddy was speaking directly to me.
