I came to Findhorn in the Fall of 1986 after meeting some people from the Findhorn Community, including Jock Millenson, Chris Powers and Ben Fuchs, at Laurieston Hall in the Scottish Borders. I liked them and they invited me to drive back to Findhorn with them to visit, which I did.

My very first morning in Findhorn, walking across the Dunes and coming suddenly upon the open sea, the Moray Firth, I had an ‘Aha’ moment and knew this land was my land. I stayed and did Experience Week and had another ‘Aha’ moment. I knew this was my community. So I went back to Laurieston Hall, collected my son Sam and our few worldly possessions and moved to a caravan in the Park at Findhorn.

Previously I had been part of the Osho sannyasin world, living in Poona with Osho present from 1975 until Poona closed in 1981 and the ashram moved to Oregon in America. Then followed two years living in a beautiful Osho community, Miasto, in Tuscany. Then, as my son needed schooling, we moved to Medina in Suffolk which was a big sannyasin community with its own school.

Prior to my sannyasin life I had been a BOAC stewardess, mainly going to Lima in Peru and South America as I spoke Spanish. Here are a few photos from those days in 1965 to 1970.

In Findhorn I worked from the start with Jock who was setting up his Apothecary in the old toilet block where Eileen used to meditate. Then followed years of volunteering in the Community in Cullerne, in the General Office and in the Community Centre (CC) kitchen (sometimes as one of the Wednesday Ladies). I also wove Sunrise panels in the Weaving Studio, which was my favourite work ever.

When Covid happened and the Sanctuary and CC were burnt to ashes it was hard and its only now, in 2025, that I find the joy of life returning and I welcome so much the new Light of Findhorn Sanctuary.

Findhorn is truly a Centre of Light and I feel blessed to have been living here within its Light for almost 40 years.

In this last year I have become a student of St Germain who was very present here back in the early days of the Findhorn Community, working with Peter and ROC especially, protecting the Community and helping it grow and develop. I have included a bit about Him in a separate post.

Finally, my family is very precious to me and here is a little news of them. Sam, my son, has been living in Geneva for over 20 years teaching in the University there and living with Sabrina, his Swiss-Italian wife and their daughter Sofia who is now a beautiful lively 14 year old who loves playing her cello. Sam’s older daughter Lilly is now 23 and is currently doing an MSc in York, after completing her BSc in Natural Sciences specialising in Biology. They are all well and I love visiting them or welcoming them here in Findhorn. I leave you with a few photos of them.
