From 1987 to 1990 I lived at what is now called Genesis, but was then referred to as “Janice’s”, i.e. the B&B I ran during those years, after Jonathan and Karen Caddy moved out of it. I was often the first person a guest spoke to or got oriented by during that time.  I don’t think the Visitors’ Centre existed yet, that building was still the apothecary run by Jock Millenson.  People who were new to the community and needed a place to stay would be sent up to my door from the Phoenix.  It so happened that the CC extension was going up nearby in my backyard, and I documented the building of it with the photos I am attaching.  I thought this might be of interest for the history project.
