While a fully crowd-sourced model isn't feasible right now, the foundational cataloguing and structural decisions still need to happen. I am stepping up to complete this groundwork so I can leave the community with a clear, sustainable action plan to follow once my contract finishes.

We are moving out of the ‘delightful yet overwhelming’ initial phase of poking around cupboards and diving straight into the physical, tangible work of building a centralised home for our history.
As the first archivist this community has hired from the outside, I feel a push and pull: I want to step back slightly to maintain a professional, removed stance for the work, yet I feel a deep need to immerse myself in the community to truly do justice to its history.
