AN EX BRIDGETEER
John White from the USA re-visited Findhorn in 2011. At the end of the 70s, he was the editor and publisher, and also a writer and layout designer, for the community’s weekly newspaper the Rainbow Bridge. Many people over the years have been involved in the Rainbow Bridge as a community task — some volunteering, some as part of their paid job. John and I talked a bit, exchanging the fun and challenges of making the Rainbow Bridge. I told him I spend more time on communicating than on the real layout. He smiled understandingly. “Ah … do you still have sleepless nights about the Bridge nowadays?” he asked, laughing. “Yes, I have sometimes,” I answered. “Well, then on a typesetter or digital now, that hasn’t changed in the 25 years then.”
