Here is a copy of the article on Findhorn, The Magic Kingdom, from the Independent Tuesday Review, that Dorothy send me in 2001 … and that I found in my Letters file recently.

Dorothy simply said in her note to me: ”I had never heard of the Tuesday Review, but Roger said it is a well-known paper. It seems almost all British papers have gone ‘tabloid”, as that is what sells.”

I was intrigued by the find and decided to do a bit more research. This is what I found:

The Tuesday Review was a prominent weekly arts, culture, and books supplement published inside the British newspaper The Independent during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Mary Braid’s 2001 feature in The Independent profiled the Findhorn Foundation, using “The Magic Kingdom” headline to describe the eco-spiritual community’s financial struggles and internal, as well as local, friction. The article highlighted a shift from utopian ideals to a survival crisis, marked by deep divisions with the local Scottish community. For more details, visit The Independent.
