Two Beings, Magic and
the Findhorn Foundation

Once upon a time, in the magic kingdom of the Findhorn Foundation, there lived two beings of the human nature. These two beings came from very different places. One from across the great pond called the USA, the other from a place not so far away, just across the channel, called Germany. Now the being from across the pond had left behind her homeland, her career and all the material stuff that humans tend to collect, and had moved to the magic kingdom. In 2000 she engaged in the mystery school in the form of FYP8*. After this year she was blessed with the opportunity to co-focalise the LCG** programme.

Meanwhile, in 2001, the other being was preparing for her sabbatical year away from her job in Germany. She needed time and distance to get clarity about what she wanted to do with her life. She planned to travel for a year and experience the world’s possibilities. Her first stop was the Findhorn Foundation, where she intended to do three months of LCG and then leave. During her time in LCG she also did the Life Purpose programme. In this workshop a guided meditation took place in which the participants were invited to envision their lives, past, present and future, and then to draw those visions. The vision of her future was two dolphins jumping out of the water with a rainbow in the background. She had no idea what this meant when she drew it, but trusted the Universe that she would know when the time was right.

You will probably have noticed that these two beings were both involved in LCG at the same time; one as focaliser and one as guest. Well, the angels worked their magic, the fairies sprinkled their fairy dust and love began to grow between these two souls.

On the Saturday after the Life Purpose workshop ended, the two went for a walk on the magical Findhorn beach. They walked and talked and eventually sat on a large log that had washed ashore. All of a sudden they saw the head of a little seal popping out of the water right at the shore. They very quickly realized, however, that the seal was simply playing its part in a bigger picture. Its role was to attract the humans’ attention to the sea. And then the magic really began. In that moment, behind the seal, two dolphins jumped out of the water as they swam toward Burghead. And wonder of wonders, behind the jumping dolphins appeared a beautiful, vibrant rainbow!

This was the beginning of an enchanted weekend of romance and encounters with Nature and her elements for these two beings. There was the huge bonfire in Grant Park and a walk and picnic in the Fairy Glen on the Black Isle. They also made a stop at the Clootie Well to ask the spirits for their support. It was truly a weekend of co-creation with Nature.

Two and half years later Debbie and Christina prepared to leave the Foundation together. Before they did, they invited the community to join them in the Main Sanctuary to take part in their commitment ceremony, witnessing the love that had come to life on that magical weekend.

They are now living happily ever after in Germany, loving and learning and playing and growing and living life to the fullest — together.

We often think about the dolphins, the rainbow and the support we received from Nature and from the unseen beings on this weekend and from the community in our time there. And we are grateful!
