Trees, Trees and More Trees

On congruency and gratitude –
a practical lesson from nature

Using Co-Creative Science I asked nature to step into a teacher role for me. One day the gravel patch in front of my house needed weeding. Being in Findhorn it felt appropriate to communicate to the unwanted plants. “Thank you for coming,” I said every time I removed the shoots. It became like a mantra. Then, out of the blue, one small plant regrew in front of me. Did I just see that? I wondered, and thought I had imagined it. A short while later – still on my thank you mantra – I broke off the top of another plant and then three or four leaves grew out of the remains within about three seconds. I could not ignore this any longer. I was shocked, confused, and stopped weeding.

I opened a ‘coning’ to connect with nature intelligence and the lesson was explained to me: gratitude is a powerful force. What you are truly grateful for you will grow more of in your life. The second part was that I was not congruent: I said thank you when really I meant you are not welcome here! This is an important No that I have struggled to express generally in my life and needed to get straightened out for my healthy development.

I have since observed the strong power true gratitude has as a force for manifestation, especially useful as a remedy when I’m feeling poor me. It is with gratitude in the right situation that miracles can take root.
