Love, Magic & Miracles takes its name from a major international Findhorn Foundation conference in 2012 – and the feelings it inspired within me of awe, wonder, gratitude… and sheer terror.

I’d been invited to join the illustrious group of presenters and offer a slideshow talk to launch my then new book. I followed immediately on from a globally admired luminary who had authored more than 80 books and twice been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize – would anybody show up to listen to me?

It was the first time I’d addressed a large audience in person. Hours before I’d been dry-mouthed, sweaty-palmed, and fearing that my hammering heart might leap right out of my chest. I was terrified. And suffocated by feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. Was I some outrageous imposter? Who was I to stand up in the Universal Hall that had played host to so many inspiring world servers and global change agents?

To prepare I walked Findhorn Beach, taking deep, slow breaths, allowing Mother Nature to work her healing magic. Suddenly a great peace came over me. I was ready. Excited even. That was Findhorn’s gift: inviting me and each and every one of us to step up and stretch right out of our comfort zone. To explore our greater potential.

And equally importantly to acquire tools and insights to create a new skill set.

To be still. To practise devout listening. To attune to what needs to unfold. Then to act decisively in complete faith and trust, knowing that the highest and best outcomes would prevail.

Always the Findhorn invitation is to quiet the mind, go within, and listen to those inner whispers of knowing.

This book is a tribute to the love, magic and daily miracles that make the community a magnet for seekers from around the world, from a diversity of backgrounds.

It is dedicated to those who wish to take their lives to the next level, and to those who have shown how it is done.

Best-selling Conversations with God author Neale Donald Walsch observed: ‘There is a unique energy here … it makes it easy for people to access a different level of knowing, understanding and experiencing of some of the higher truths of life and how it is.

‘Come to the edge,’ Walsch invites. ‘What Findhorn brings to the human spirit is the possibility of flying!’
