I was delighted to see recently the 1978 photo of our group focalised by Leona and myself on the theme of Creating a New Age Community. This workshop also previously went by the name Creating a Centre of Light and that became the theme of my work after leaving Findhorn in 1978 after 3 years there.

For example, I co-founded the Austin Wellness Institute, the Coastal Bend Wellness Center and the Gaia Center in furtherance of wholeness and well-being. I also taught weekend workshops on applying the Findhorn Experience processes to life in society beyond Findhorn.

While at Findhorn, I was the first focaliser of the Cluny Hill College programme and also co-focalised the 3-month Essence of Findhorn programme, which I drew from for workshops that I taught after Findhorn.

From 1986 to 2013, I founded and taught spiritually-oriented hypnotherapy trainings through my Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Institute.

I also wrote two self-published books: “Transpersonal Hypnotherapy – New Horizons in Hypnosis for Transcending Personal Frontiers”(1989) and “The Unlimited Human – From Limitation to Liberation” (1992).

Since 2011, I have been involved with a spiritual community called “The Stream”, which was founded and continues to be led by Beth Green, a spiritual teacher, author, intuitively guided counsellor and musician who had a spiritual awakening in 1978. Beth is also my mate, and she even foresaw our coming together months before we met, including when we would meet! Our organisation shares a common ethic with the community at Findhorn. We are endeavouring to follow God’s guidance for the highest good of all. Beth hears the inner voice, whereas I am guided intuitively but don’t have that inner voice connection.

Even today, I am continuing to be dedicated to my healing and the healing of others with the help of Beth’s intuitive counselling, teachings, tools and processes. I’m now a much better person than I was before – less detached, more relatable, less reactive, more centred, guided. I’m now in my third marriage, but it looks like a keeper. 14 years together and every day is still an adventure!

Since my time at Findhorn, I’ve also continued to make music. During the year after I left, Lawrence Ball, a composer friend of the community and myself performed a concert called “New Age Music” at the Pyramid Unity Church in Houston Texas. I performed music that I had composed and performed at Findhorn. There have also been a couple of songs that I created at Findhorn that have lived on in various forms. One became the melody for a song in the musical “Fighting For Love” written by Beth Green. I sang the male lead and it was performed at the Majestic Theatre in Corvallis, Oregon, where we reside. The other song morphed from “Never Alone” to “Together Alone” on which I sang and played flugelhorn and which won an award as “Best Jazz Song” from the Akademia Music Awards in March 2020.

Currently, Beth and I intuitively improvise together, with me singing and her playing the piano. You can hear us playing weekly on our livestream Magical Improvs @BethGreenTV on YouTube.  I also participate in another weekly livestream, Lighting the Way with Beth Green & Friends (on YouTube), where we take on the pressing issues of the day and try to spread light in dark times.

We have created a petition, the New Declaration of Independence, which takes us beyond resistance to a positive vision for change. Also, we provide many free offerings of channelled books, videos, music and even a study programme through our website under the heading: The Healing Arts Network.

So glad to be back in touch and to share with this incredible family!
