This collection of writings about the history, work, beliefs and practices of the Findhorn Foundation and its associated Community of spiritual seekers was compiled and edited by Alex Walker. This flipbook is an alternative version to the one published by Findhorn Press in 1994.

“… the Community began as an experiment in working cooperatively with the nature kingdoms; and became well known for its successes in its gardens and for publicising a modern view of the spiritual intelligences at work within nature, from the tiniest elementals working with flowers to the great devas of whole landscapes. During the 1970s and 80s its spiritual work expanded to encompass a whole range of educational activities.

“The Kingdom Within presents a selection of key ideas about the philosophical background and spiritual beliefs of the Findhorn Community, together with important factual information, particularly about the history of the Foundation and the nature of the environment in which it is located.

“Among other topics covered in the book are nature and ecology, the art of living in community, the relationship of ‘New Age’ thought to formal religion, and cooperation with the spiritual worlds.

“Originally developed for the Foundation’s own internal education programmes, this anthology is now available to a wider readership in the form of this book. Its aim is to offer inspiration to those who believe in a positive future and are seeking to understand how that might be brought about.”
