Support from the global as well as the residential community on all levels is making this project possible. The dedicated website for Celebrating One Incredible Family is in the process of being developed because the funds were raised through the generosity of several individuals and organisations.

THANK YOU to Cornelia Featherstone, John Clausen, John Talbot, Lisette Schuitemaker, Sylvia Robertson and two other donors who wish to remain anonymous.

THANK YOU to the Findhorn Foundation who paid for the development of the logo and design guidelines, to the NFA who gave us our preliminary website space and passed on a grant from Hygeia Foundation towards the website development. NFA has also accepted ownership of the Celebrating One Incredible Family website, thus ensuring its ongoing sustainability.

Support comes in many ways:

– the Findhorn Foundation:

* appointed co-workers to work with the 60th Anniversary Initiative

* provided our ‘headquarters’ in the centre of The Park, in Gateway. This is right next to the building that        was the toilet block where Eileen found piece and quiet for her early morning meditations all those years     ago.

* gives us access to their historical archives, as well as their many beautiful YouTube videos, for material to use

– the Park Ecovillage Trust has gathered the funds for the development of the Celebrating One Incredible Family website.

– so many folk continue to volunteer their time. For the core team, please see our blog from 21st March entitled Meet the Team. In addition to those listed there we have been joined by John Willoner in the Birthday Festival Group, Carly Newfeld is holding the Memorial List of all the community members who have died, Giles Christian is working with the Timeline, Sabine Weeke is holding the focus for the Publications List and Abbott Chrisman is sharing with us his knowledge and passion for gathering our collective autobiography in ways that it will feed effectively into the extensive archive of the community.

Last but not least a BIG THANK to all those who have submitted stories so far. We have learned a lot, and this will help us to make the story gathering more user-friendly as we migrate across to the website over the next month or two. So if you are already writing your story but struggle with the Google Forms – there is good news! Eventually that process will be a lot easier.

Thank you to all our Blog readers – please spread the word, so that together we continue to create this amazing community venture of Honouring the Past, Meeting in the Present and Together Stepping into the Future!

If you want to get involved – please get in touch – we need all of us!

Writing your own stories is a great and all important start – more details about how to submit your stories will be available once our website is up.

You can also join us as a Story Catcher

– helping folks who don’t feel able to write down their stories themselves

– interviewing someone and either writing up the story or sending a video/audio of the interview (if it is of     publishable quality)

– writing up posthumous stories – as sadly there are many stories which we can gather only second hand

– sending us links to videos which are in the public domain (like YouTube) that speak to an aspect of our           collective autobiography

Join our team – in particular we are seeking admin support for the core team – this can be done from anywhere as this is a web-based task, and meetings can be attended on Zoom.

Help us celebrate – either by coming for a visit during our 60th Birthday Year, or for the 60th Birthday Festival in November. Or find ways that are more climate conscious, like creating celebrations where you are to link in with events here at Findhorn. We want to expand our capabilities to create deeply connecting ‘blended events’ – experiencing the global Network of Light in many different ways. The pandemic lockdowns have brought the blessings of greater confidence around zooming, streaming and online events. We hope to use that to strengthen the connections of the Network of Light which is one of the inspirations for our logo – with nodes of light connecting across the globe.
