I started my Findhorn journey in 1989 as a Short Term Member at Newbold House and ended up, in 2013, as an Experience Week and LCG (Living in Community Guest) focaliser for a few years.  I have been deeply in love with the whole Community ever since that first visit.

When I retired and went back to Belgium as a Resource Person at the end of 2018, I intended to go back every year to Findhorn and to continue to focalise the French Experience Week and maybe some other programmes. So I did this in April 2019 … and then the world was shaken by a virus!

The idea of offering a French Experience Week “like at Findhorn” was born when Chantal Godron – Resource Person and one of “my” 😉 former LCGs – came back home after celebrating 2024 New Year at Findhorn with Barbara, Fabien & Co.

She was very enthusiastic and wanted to share that beautiful spirit with her friends so she asked me if I would focalise an Experience Week in France the next Summer.

I had been fortunate to attend the 5 day Experience Week in 2023 as a participant – with Britta and Julia as my focalisers – and then to focalise it the next week, in French, at Cluny with Sophie Colin.

I found that new version easier to “export” outside the Community as it did not include the 4 sessions of “Love in action” in a Department. Only one session in the garden.

The Guest House Chantal had found for the French Experience Week ‘like at Findhorn’ was run by Philippe and Jeanne-Marie, a warm-hearted couple fully attuned to the Community’s values and principles! This made it possible to ask Philippe to share with us his love for his wonderful permaculture garden, on the Thursday morning. It was a great win-win; enjoying a proper session of Love in Action, helping him harvest vegetables and fruits that would go to the kitchen and be cooked by Jeanne-Marie.

Although Fabien was not available to focalise that programme with me I felt at ease enough to focalise it on my own, with Chantal’s support.  She was very helpful with the organisation and practicalities – the image at the top shows one of her beautiful flower arrangements.

It was such a blessing for me to prepare the programme with her by meeting online once or twice a month, including doing an Angel meditation together.

As it was a success in 2024, we did it again this Summer and it was even better … and included two participants from my last French Experience Week at The Park in April 2019! ❤️

And as icing on the cake, Yves Michel, another Resource Person and the French publisher of Le Souffle d’Or – who published several “Findhorn books” – offered each of our guests a copy of “La petite voix”, the French translation of Opening Doors Within!

Aren’t we such One Incredible Family? 🤗
