Dear Findhorn Friend,
Sending you lots of Love on the breeze from a wild and windy, sunny and calm Findhorn.
We are going deeper into a period of attunement to what wants to emerge from the core impulse of the Findhorn Foundation and Community at this time. Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere supports this process with the long cold nights, shortening of days, and opportunities to come together inside and be in a space of quiet attunement; a time of going deeper within…
Over the last few weeks we started the process of looking through what we have inherited from the last incarnation of the Findhorn Foundation, tuning in to what we still need and what we can let go of. We’ve been digging through cupboards and drawers of course materials, finding massage tables and yoga mats, collecting computers, laptops, phones, counting our zoom accounts, compiling electronic files, renewing insurances, clearing out sheds, looking at our accommodations, grounds and much more… You can imagine that there is a lot that the Foundation has gathered over half a century. These are tender times for us and the question we keep asking on all levels is: What is needed now?
We have also spent time getting to know each other better. Each morning we meditate as a group and we spend two afternoons together every week. On Mondays we look at all that needs to be done on a practical level and on Wednesdays we take time for personal attunement and sharing. We also come together and celebrate everything that we are grateful for in these challenging times, which includes you, our friends and supporters.
Over the wintertime we are going to go deeper into a time of stillness and inner listening to focus on the questions: What is the call of our time, now? How can we best serve the planet? What are the unique gifts of this Centre of Light and how can we best share them with the world?
In this we aspire to follow Eileen’s ‘still small voice within’:
‘Be still and listen. I ask for nothing more. When you become still, you become emptied of all, emptied of the old and ready to be refilled with the new. As long as you are straining and striving you are not free or empty and there is no room for the new to enter. You cannot put new wine into old bottles, you cannot put an old piece of cloth on a new garment, any more than you can be filled with the new while still clinging to the old! Become an empty vessel waiting to be filled with My Love, My Light and My Wisdom.’
~ Eileen Caddy, ‘God Spoke to Me’, p.108
Thank you for supporting us while we are listening to the whispers of our hearts, our community, the earth and spirit.
With lots of Love from the Findhorn Foundation’s Transition Team: Andrew, Ann, Ash, Britta, Harriet, Megan, Sara, Shaun, Sy and Terry
