Over the decades the hill behind Cluny has been identified by many people sensitive to such energies as a Power Point.

This post is only a very brief summary. We hope that in time we will be able to compile a more comprehensive compilation of different stories and perspectives.

1962 Peter Caddy‘s autobiography p 178 [1]

It was late afternoon by the time we reached the north east coast but instead of driving directly to Lossiemouth I made a detour into Forres and up to Cluny Hill, where I parked the car. The boys amused themselves while Dorothy, Eileen and I climbed the mound behind the hotel, the ‘power point’ of which her guidance had said I was the guardian. The sun sets early at that time of year at such a northerly latitude, and the sky was a blaze of light; the air was crisp, clear and dry, in total contrast to the dank, oppressive atmosphere we had come from. It seemed suddenly symbolic and made a great impression on me: I felt filled with Light, as if a tremendous burden had been lifted from us. The Trossachs Hotel had disappeared into its shroud of mists, like Brigadoon. Here we had come home, had stepped back into the Light.

1966 Robert Ogilvie Crombie (ROC) occult diaries p 250 [2]

I become a vast vortex of power on the Findhorn power point, a tall soaring flame, a being. Every part of me becomes a part of it. I myself am nothing, but I experience and am the vortex. I am now on Cluny Hill, a giant intangible something rising up from the power point. I am, and become, the pulsating rhythm. I am, and become, the mound. I am now in Pluscarden Priory, a huge something filling the building, expanding into the stones. I become the priory; the building and I are one. Within me is the sound of chanting monks. I feel the rhythm of the stones, and a quiet and wonderful peace fills me. I am a three-sided pyramid, the base points resting on Findhorn, Cluny Hill and Pluscarden.

1967 Eileen Caddy’s autobiography p 122/3 [3]

On Christmas Eve 1967 I was told from within to ask Joanie and Peter to take me up to the top of Cluny Hill to a special place we had found years before. I was told: “I need the three of you as one at that specific time.” There had been a great many predictions from all sorts of sources that the world was going to end at about this time, that Judgment Day was at hand. I paid no attention to these prophecies of doom and gloom, as I was committed to raising my consciousness towards the light. So on Christmas Eve at midnight we followed the clear instructions God had given me: “Stand with Peter behind you and Joanie and you hand in hand. Peter is to put his left hand on your shoulder and his right one on Joanie’s. Stand like that, letting the power flow through you, welding you into one. Then, when I tell you, stand in a circle with Peter on your left and Joanie on your right. From the time you get out of the car until you get back into it again Peter is to be on your left and Joanie on your right. The force of power that will flow through you will be tremendous, but it will be perfectly controlled. You are doing this not just for yourselves but for the multitudes, and the outcome will have far-reaching results. Be prepared for anything.”
As we stood together holding hands, I felt my body fill with light. I began to tremble violently and then collapsed, unconscious. Peter and Joanie supported me and even they, who both claimed to have no sensitivity at all, were rooted to the spot. Finally, as I came to, I experienced an absolute oneness with Peter, with Joanie and with the entire universe. I felt I was plugged into the cosmic power source and that we three had provided some sort of anchor or earthing point. We were all moved beyond words and had no idea what it all meant, nor what had actually happened.
We returned home in a state of radiant exhilaration. Something truly momentous had occurred – for us and for the whole world – but we were incapable of defining what that might be. Immediately afterwards I received: “My beloved, lift up your heart in deep joy and gratitude for what took place at midnight. You three are now one for all eternity as you were in the beginning. You have completed the full cycle. Nothing will ever separate you, for you are now of one mind, one heart, one spirit in Me.
“This is the turning point for every soul. The die has been cast, and each soul has to make a choice: a turning towards the light or to the dark. The day many have been waiting for is over. The cosmic power released at that appointed moment, felt by you and many others, has begun to reverberate around the universe. Nothing will stop it. It will gather momentum and power and it will be sensed by many as time goes on. Some may be disappointed because there was no outer manifestation. Nothing has gone wrong. It is simply that man has misinterpreted what has been prophesied. It has often happened that way.
“This is the beginning of the universal happenings all over the world. This place will become world-renowned, for nothing will be able to stop the expansion of the work going on here. This release of cosmic power into the whole of the universe is far greater than you can ever imagine. Your feeling of an uplifted consciousness is the start of great changes that will be felt by each individual everywhere. Forge ahead from strength to strength with My hallmark deeply imprinted, and be at perfect peace.”

Marko Pogačnik, a Community member, developed over the years many different maps to represent the evolving understanding of the role of the Cluny power point within the wider context of the sacred landscape. He highlights that there are seven hills of Cluny and associates them to seven planets.

Over the years Cluny members and guests have continued to walk up the spiral path to the top, for reflection, ceremonies, individually or in groups. One such ritual took place during the 60th Birthday Celebrations in 2022.
