When I arrived in 1978 the Community was in a crisis, eventually leading to the purchase of the Caravan Park in 1983. This gave us the opportunity to ground the vision of a ‘planetary village’, a built environment in harmony with our values, in co-operation with nature. I became the focaliser of the Ecovillage project. After developing settlement plans, and innovative healthy building methods, we built the first houses in the early 1990s in building schools for self-build eco-houses, as well as innovative technologies such as a wind turbine in 1989, the Living Machine in 1995. Thereafter came the Field of Dreams, and then Duneland Ltd. and the development of the Magic Triangle.

After 25 years I moved to Syndney, Australia, was involved with corporate work (creating ‘Experience Week for bankers’) and helped develop a new ecovillage, Narara.

Following the crises of the pandemic, the economic impact on the Findhorn Foundation and the devastating fires in 2021, I returned with my family. Now I am involved with DevCom (the Development Committee) to work toward the next evolutionary steps for the Community.
