About Sharon Took-Zozaya
Working with dance, physical theatre and yoga, I support positive transformation for audiences, students and myself. Now living in The Park, I value supportive connections with neighbors near and far.
Came to the Findhorn Foundation Community: 1988-1996 and 2018 - currently
Areas of involvement with the Findhorn Foundation Community: I was originally drawn to move here by a desire live in a community that would support my spiritual practice, both formal and informal, as well as to be of service. I was a 'member' of the Findhorn Foundation from 1988-1996, and a Staff Member in Cullerne Garden, the Hall and Education between 1989-1994, as well as focalising many workshops and experience weeks. Since 2018 I've had many roles: developing CPDs for Findhorn College, teaching for Dance North, freelance teaching dance and yoga, performing, organising performance events in the Universal Hall and volunteering where my skills are useful.
Community leadership: I initiated Essence of the Arts in Community and focalised it from 1994-1998. I was a Findhorn Foundation co-worker for several months in 2020 as we were going to restart this program. However, it was cancelled due to Covid.
Experience in the community affected your work in the world: The group facilitation and collaboration skills I learned here were invaluable in a variety of roles teaching, choreographing and performing in community, education and professional contexts.
List of publications: My 'publications' are mostly in the form of performances.
