About Roy Simpson

After living in Scotland and discovering the community in 1975, I worked as a ranger for the national park service for over 30 years. When I also served in the Peace Corps in Africa and Honduras

Came to the Findhorn Foundation Community: 1975
Areas of involvement with the Findhorn Foundation Community: I first visited the community in 1975, visiting multiple times while living in the Trossachs and then at Newton Dee in Aberdeen until 1977. I became a resource person in the 1980s, lived in a Findhorn-inspired cooperative house in California, was on the original board for the Shenoah community, and continued visiting many times over the 47 year span. I return to live here permanently during the 60th birthday celebration.
Community leadership: Resource Person since 1982
Experience in the community affected your work in the world: My experience with Findhorn has greatly influenced my work as a park ranger/environmental educator for over 30 years. The primary focus was bringing cooperation with nature to others throughce sharing beautiful resources of the national park service in the United States.
