About David Platts

I focalised Communications and later became Eileen’s unofficial co-writer, producer, editor and residential workshop focaliser for guests from soon after I arrived, 1978 to 1986. Now retired.

Came to the Findhorn Foundation Community: 1978
Left the Findhorn Foundation Community: I have never left Findhorn. But I did move a part of me down to London in March, 1986, where it has been ever since.
Areas of involvement with the Findhorn Foundation Community: My first proper job was in the Park focalising Communications from a duplex shed opposite the main office and across from the former sanctuary. It brought a move for me to Catherine Reed’s lovely caravan which I had to myself and later to John Clausen's house down the road in Findhorn Village. The first book about the community, Faces of Findhorn, was being written and I was seconded to type up the text which Rue Ann Hass and others were preparing then.
List of publications: Eventually my work led on to my editing a book of Eileen’ s guidance, Opening Doors Within in 1986/87 and our workbook, Bringing More Love Into Your Life: The Choice Is Yours. The books Learning To Love and Divinely Ordinary Divinely Human came later. Eileen and I also wrote and produced a series of audio tapes, (Be Still: Meditation For The Child Within, The Challenge of Change, Loving Unconditionally, and Why Meditate?), each with a lecture on one side and a guided meditation on the other.
