“Thank God for irrational, embodied heart-based decisions. During my Experience Week in October 2003, that day when we go to Randolph’s Leap, I sat, in deep contemplative thought, on the rock overlooking the stream pool where the two rivers meet. It had just rained. The sun broke through the autumn-coloured beech trees surrounding the river banks, sending out the most amazing glittery prismatic light over the landscape. As if that was not enough, grasping in beauty-stricken awe, I was additionally blessed by a big salmon jumping high out of the middle of the pool to swirl its pirouettes creating an even more magical moment. Time stopped, I just melted right there and promised that salmon I would come back. I came back three months later.”
