As Our Findhorn Barrel host I’m joined by Prriyanka all the way from Auroville as she tells us her story:

My journey to the Findhorn Ecovillage started long before I arrived in Scotland. In 2016, a friend told me about it, and from then on, a quiet pull began. I was living in Mumbai, working as a conservation architect, and already living a zero-waste lifestyle. I even composted in my apartment! After becoming a mother, my desire for a more conscious, communal way of life grew stronger. I had this vision of a place where my daughter and I could thrive, and I even wrote about it in my journal.

When I finally arrived in Findhorn in 2020, it was a dream come true. The community felt like a safe, heart-opening place, and I felt immediately welcomed. Although I hadn’t done the typical Experience Week, my path was different. I connected with people by simply sharing meals I cooked or joining the sacred circle dances from my Indian culture. I learned that Findhorn isn’t just a place to live; it’s a place where your highest dreams can manifest. Even though I have moved to Auroville, I don’t feel disconnected. I still carry a piece of Findhorn with me, like the very soil of the land in my heart.
