FINDHORN AND LORIAN CO-CREATE!
The Lorian Association was founded in 1973 by some influential early Findhorn residents including Dorothy Maclean, David and Julie Spangler, Freya Secrest and Roger and Katherine Collis. During the intervening years Lorian has focused on crafting education programmes that foster people’s capacity to co-create with the sacred within themselves and the sacred within nature and the subtle worlds.

Three years ago Freya Secrest and Jeremy Berg visited Findhorn to explore the potential for a collaborative programme between Findhorn and Lorian. We share a similar focus: to explore the potentials within all life whether in our human community, the natural kingdom, or the subtle worlds, and to uncover and demonstrate new possibilities for a creative and sustainable future. We agreed that bringing our strengths together could offer valuable mutual learning and further serve the wholeness of our Earth community.
With joy, curiosity, and much listening we have entered into collaboration. David’s dedicated engagement with the Second Ecology of life, or subtle realms, and the resulting framework of Incarnational Spirituality, offer rich grounds for exploration. Findhorn’s experience in cultivating individual attunement and loving, appreciative relationships adds to the mix a deep understanding and experience of practical demonstration.

The initial fruits are our Living Whole programmes, which combine residential weeks at Findhorn with distance learning at home. Community evenings with David ‘beamed’ into the Universal Hall to explore topics relevant to our times, and a flourishing World Work or Subtle Activism group led by Mary Inglis add to this collaborative work, with new possibilities for partnerships with our Second Ecology partners also awakened and growing.
We hope to continue building on this partnership and fostering new potential that arises through honouring our own unique gifts and remaining open to our creative relationship. From here we co-create and bring on the new.
