After 3 long years the Universal Hall is hosting once more dancers and teachers from all over the world to share their joy and connections. This short video clip will transport you there for a few seconds.

Sacred Dance has held a central role in the Community for over 40 years. Our weekly rhythms have always included open Sacred Dance sessions on a Wednesday night, and even through the pandemic that has continued online through Brant’s work with The Centrepiece. A dedicated group of dancers is meeting weekly, even through the pandemic times when they just danced outside on the Dancing Green as soon as the regulations allowed that. Every Experience Week had a Sacred Dance session to bring the group together. So many events in the Universal Hall are graced by Sacred Dance performances. Teachers from the Community have taken Sacred Dance all around the world, from Brazil to Japan and many places in between.

Many outstanding international Sacred Dance teachers have called this Community their home over the decades – from Anna Barton, to Peter VallanceSusanne Anders BartholomaeiLaura Shannon, and Brant Bamberry.

The annual Sacred Dance Festival has brought together these teacher, celebrates the role Sacred Dance plays in our Community for decades now.

This year a gigantic display of photos in the Universal Hall tantalises us with glimpses of so many stories.

We look forward to reading as many as possible in our collective autobiography which we are putting together to celebrate 60 years of our One Incredible Family.

For a Blast from the past you can watch a clip from the 2017 Findhorn Festival of Sacred Dance Music and Song

A clip from the Findhorn Festival of the Arts in 1981 allows us to appreciate the evolution of Sacred Dance.
