Strengthening CommUnity is the core impulse for what has now become Celebrating One Incredible Family in all its aspects. “As we honour the Past, we meet in the Present and together we step into the Future.

In May 2021, Leona, Liza and Cornelia met to tune into ways of contributing to this CommUnity at a time when we faced the aftermath of the devastating fires and the fractures the pandemic had brought. We also brought with us the inspiration and strength we feel in the emerging global network as represented by the Findhorn Extended Members Council. Since then a strong team has formed around this impulse. We will introduce the team in the next blog.

Now 9 months on, we have created beautiful vessels that are ready to be filled by YOUR input:

– Our Year of Celebrations: it began at the Winter Solstice 2021 when we picked the Angel of Depth for our group. We envision a global engagement in these celebrations through the blessings of technology (live streaming, connected pod events, blended events (roomers and zoomers) etc). Several significant milestones are already in the calendar: we open with the Red Ball Play on 11th March, Duneland Ltd is celebrating its 25th Anniversary on 11th April, the Findhorn Foundation will be 50 on 9th May, and of course the Community’s 60th Birthday is on the 17th November 2022, which we envision as a vibrant festival that connects Findhorn with the global Network of Light held by the FEMC and beyond. Some people are organising a reunion, others are already planning local pods for the celebrations in November. And there is scope for so much more for you to find your voice, place and contribution. – The Community History project is our collective autobiography, a people’s history covering all the many different aspects of the Community over the last 60 years. This will all be on a website, where we share our stories with the world inviting everyone to partake in the journey of our Community and gather with us ‘around the fireside’ to hear the stories. There will also be a private Members Area for more intimate sharings, discussions and furthering the New Emergence.
