Arriving at Findhorn
LOOKING FOR A GURU
In 1974 I set out to travel overland to India, looking for a guru. A friend recommended the Findhorn Community as a cool place, vegetarian too, really unusual then. I came for the weekend, but the minute I stepped through the gateway, I knew there was no need to go any further — this was the most happening place on the planet! It had everything for a spiritual seeker: amazing teachers and role models and over 200 people who were my age, all drawn to build a new world together. I stayed for a week; a month; a year. And will probably die here. Unless the universe has other plans!
