You’ll often see the staff on a Friday in the pub
Or collect a TV dinner from the kitchen in a tub
You can see the seashore shrink when the moon it waxes full
See timid folk go primal when they feel the lunar pull
If you like your vitals frozen try the sea up to your neck
But you’ll never see a joker in an angel card deck
You’ll see the eggs turn blue when they scramble them at brunch
You may work beside a cook who’s just acting on a hunch
You may observe a process or be stuck in one yourself
Or find all the cups are gone in the CC from the shelf
And after KP’s started on your food don’t turn your back
But you’ll never see a joker in an angel card pack
You’ll see many shapes of nipple in the hot tub if you look
You’ll see sanctuary users queuing for a glimpse of Eileen’s book
You’ll see the use for vinegar water in the routine of Homecare
You’ll see many single people who would like to form a pair
You can spot the suffering person who is on the spiritual rack
Before you’d spot a joker in an angel card pack
You’ll see more decision meetings than you’ll see decisions made
You’ll find staff who work for cash but none who get well paid
You’ll have some transformation if you ask for it or not
Your life will get unravelled despite your tightest knot
You may put up tough resistance then go ‘what the heck’.
But you’ll never see a joker in an angel card deck
