One of the formative inspirations for Celebrating One Incredible Family was to create a platform for the Global Family to connect with each other, to move beyond being ‘locality-centred’ at Findhorn.

The initiative for the Findhorn Extended Members Council (FEMC) by the Santa Barbara Pod brought so many gifts to this objective. From November 2020 to March 2022 almost monthly Zoom meeting brought together members of One Incredible Family, across the continents and across generations of Community members, for inspiring and connecting events with presentations, personal sharings in small groups as well as ‘Councils’ where all voices were welcome.

We want to explore how we can create a sustainable basis for the impulse to create a ‘Findhorn Community’ which is not locality centred but global.

David Spangler tells us: “You are the founders of the next 60 years.“

As we have completed the celebrations for the 60th Birthday of the Community, the COIF website is now focusing on the future. We see two main aspects at this time:

Our collective autobiography – the personal stories by Community members that are creating the mosaic of our Community’s history – each new story adds more definition and depth to that mosaic.

Community Engagement – both on the public side and in the private Members Area. On the public side Community Connections offers the Newsletter and information on how to Join In the many Community Activities etc. This is relevant for anyone in the world who is interested in what we do here at Findhorn.

For those members of One Incredible Family who have become a COIF Member, the Family Room offers all sorts of ways to engage. This is the most emergent aspect of the website, as it is by us and for us – so it needs Your input to take shape. As we have been told in meditation earlier in the process:

You have laid the foundations and built the framework,
it is up to the Community to build the house.
With the 50th Birthday Book you have a beautiful studio in the garden,
which gives a glimpse of what the house may become.
