Without vision the people perish. Without God’s direct guidance Findhorn would not exist. This is no ordinary community, it is a spiritual community, a community with a ‘plus’ which has been God’s guidance, the glue that has kept it together. We have gone through many changes and challenging times over the years. and I know that some people have thought Findhorn would fold up like so many other communities. But it has been as if God has laid his hand on what was being done here, and would not allow it to crumble away into nothingness.
Everywhere I look I see God’s hallmark. God’s universal laws are being lived and demonstrated in this place of light. We are building for the future, for the New Age, for the Golden Age where all is perfection. All things are possible with God’s help. We are here to help humanity turn within, find the divinity within, to allow ourselves to be guided and directed by that God within. The work here was started in a very small way: a mighty oak starts with a tiny acorn. What has developed at Findhorn is a demonstration of what can be done when a mere handful of people are willing to listen to the ‘still small voice within’ and obey.
And the work never stops. The world is in desperate need of help at this time and Findhorn and the many centres of light around the world have an answer. This is the time of great spiritual awakening when all the forces of light are needed to unite and bring more light into the world. Let each one of us find our path and follow it. We are pioneers of a new age, an age built on love. There is so much work to be done. We are all tested to the hilt, so we are strong and unshakable, to be able to cut through all that would oppose us. We have to know deep within we are doing the right thing. We have to have vision and hold fast to that vision no matter what appears to be happening on the surface.
I was told in guidance at one time: “You are helping to build my new Jerusalem. Stone by stone it is being built and its foundations are unshakable for they are of love, and love is strong. Love can withstand anything, for love is the greatest power in the universe.” To be pioneers we have to be prepared to work hard for the good of the whole. Work is love in action, and when everything is done in love it is done with joy. As we think, so we are. Are we seeing the very best in everything? Are we really loving one another or just tolerating one another? Are we putting the spiritual, God, first in our lives? Are we fully dedicated to our work here in this centre of light? Do we see that what we are doing has an effect on the rest of the world? Can we accept that, when two or more are gathered together in God’s name, the power and energy generated is tremendous, and that power can be sent out to the world to help it? This is the vital inner work that needs to be done. It is a planetary work that is being done here at Findhorn, and at all the other centres around the world. Let us all be part of the answer to the negativity and chaos and confusion in the world. Let us raise our consciousness and never let it be dragged down.
In 1969 I had a vision concerning the importance of planetary villages: I was shown the world as a dark ball, and then I saw lighthouses dotted all over it. I saw that the light from each lighthouse was becoming more and more powerful and as this happened the rays from the lighthouses went further and further. I realised that the time would come when all the rays would be linked up and all would be light. I heard the words, “My bearers of light, unite.”
I give thanks to God for each one of you, and for all you are doing to bring this vision into reality.
