About Caroline Shaw

Trained as a classical pianist obtaining my Teachers Degree. Focalising Building sites at Findhorn. Became a Community Arts Officer, then obtained Masters Degree in Family Therapy. Retired.

Came to the Findhorn Foundation Community: 1974
Left the Findhorn Foundation Community: 1976, rejoined 1979 still living there for approximately six months per year.
Areas of involvement with the Findhorn Foundation Community: 1974-1976 full time student at the Foundation, on the spiritual Foundations.
Community leadership: Focalised renovation of Cluny Hill Hotel, 1976. Completed renovation of Drumduan 1979/80 Obtained Government Grant and Focalised the completion of the Universal Hall about 1984. During those years I Focalised the emerging overall Managment group for a while, and the Education department.
Experience in the community affected your work in the world: In 1986 I returned to Australia and became a Community Arts Manager for two different local councils. My work at the Foundation gave me skills to always look at the bigger picture, and to see what opportunities were within my work to live the spiritual principles of findhorn. I had advantages because of my previous work organising different groups both in practical projects and group discussions
