The premise of this exhibition is to pose a question: As we look at the manifestations of the minds, talents and impulses of 5th-century BC Greece, with their revolutionary
development of philosophical thought and aesthetic ambition, what would it take to generate a Golden Age in our own time?

How could our culture ‘magnetise’ all the necessary minds, find a focus of shared intention, and incubate the wealth of skills and clarity of perception needed to distil shared cultural criteria that could birth the next Golden Age? What could this Golden Age look like? Or does the current populace believe that, in an age of such diversity and relativity of criteria, a shared, unified goal is now impossible?
