From my introduction

“The access to artists who lived 500 and 600 years ago has become a great source of inspiration and enlightenment to me as an artist. … It is well known that most paintings, fresco-cycles and sculptures of this period were a joint effort. The maestro provided the overall design, interpretation and iconography, and would carry out the most important and skilled areas of the work. A team of apprentices would complete the areas that required a lesser skill, and in genres for which they specialised.

This is a point in history that we have tried to make accessible to our audience through an educational space that allows the viewer to become a participant in the methods of the artists and their apprentices.”
