This is a commentary on ROC’s message from St Germain in the article “Transmission from St Germain” by Peter Caddy.
St Germain was an important teacher for both Peter Caddy and ROC. In the channelling Peter records for Liebie Pugh from ROC, St Germain explains that both Peter and ROC are him (St Germain). This is not a simple statement and needs some unpacking.
A Master in the Hierarchy, which guides the Earth and beyond, gathers about himself students and disciples to be able to expand his work further. Those closest to the Master are at times overshadowed by his presence and serve as direct conduits for his energy and motivation in the world. While the term “Master” may refer to a man or a woman of a certain degree of accomplishment, the restrictions of the language determine the use of the masculine pronoun throughout this commentary.
My understanding of St Germain’s statements are that Peter and ROC are disciples who are closest to him and that he at times overlights each and either, causing them to speak for him.
The mechanics are simple enough (see illustration above). Consciousness is a pool with several levels of subtlety. When a Master of the degree of St Germain approaches the disciple, his awareness (pool of Consciousness) is much larger and more subtle than that of the vehicle he has chosen to approach. Being more subtle it immerses the awareness of the individual, to the extent that the person approached can be swamped by the greater pool of awareness in which he or she now floats. This can cause a misconception on the part of the individual approached leading them to believe they are that greater consciousness. This, I believe, is what happened to ROC on a number of occasions he recorded, that caused him such confusion.
When such an approach occurs, often unsuspected by the recipient, it is marked by a sudden fuller understanding than that formerly held by the individual. This is usually transient and departs when the occurrence is over, leaving the individual grasping for the former understanding they had inherited.
It is difficult today to comprehend the lack of awareness, the obscurity or density of consciousness we may say, that we have moved out of as the Earth travelled through the end of the Mayan calendar causing the intensification and rising clarity in general awareness that has lead to the current generation speaking about being ‘woke’, or otherwise. According to the authorities of the time, events were speeding up at a rate of a 10 fold increase every so often, such that what once had taken 100 days to accomplish was now achievable in 10 days, and following that in 10 hours and so on.
We were being drawn into the Now.
Reflecting on the time that the letter was written to Liebie Pugh, we can view the social changes as some indication of those changes in awareness. Liebie died in December 1966. Peter met her in mid 1965. It was a time of change. The Beatles were discovering the Maharishi and meditation. The Vietnam war was in full swing. Martin Luther King jr was killed later in 1968. The Gay Liberation movement started in 1969. Women protested at the Miss America 1968 competition by throwing items of clothing including bras into a trash can in protest at the sexploitation rife at the time, leading to the burning bras myth identified with feminine emancipation. The troubles in Northern Ireland were about to begin. The PC movement in speech had not yet begun.
All of these things seem now so far away and so unthinkable today, at least in the West. Yet they are indicative of the sluggish pace of awareness that heralded the changes we are living through and have lived through.
As individual Consciousness grows more Universal, it begins to lose the colour of personal opinion and prejudices returning to the purity of a Universal Consciousness which permeates all of Creation (God Imminent and Omnipresent). Tolerance grows, and black and white fade into various shades of gray. As a student grows more familiar with the Master’s desires and understanding, so the individual takes on more of the Master’s colour and persuasion, eventually becoming a disciple on their way to Mastery of their own.
I see the confusion that arose in ROC and Peter, regarding the nature of St Germain and their relationship to him, as symptomatic of the darkness, the obscurity of the time. Looking at the development of ideas from the time of Helena Blavatsky writing in the mid 19th century, through the work of the Golden Dawn and later the Lucis Trust, we gain some idea of the awakening that humanity was going through as the dawning Bronze Age, the Dvapara Yuga, gave way to the Dvapara Yuga proper (1899). Consider the rapidity of growth of all sciences and technology in the 20th century to gain some idea of the speed of change as we enter into the Age of Aquarius.
For myself, I believe that Peter’s master Aureolis was the incarnation of St Germain, with both Peter and ROC as important disciples in his school. In the Hierarchy itself there are various offices, the Manu, the Christ, the Buddha, the Mahachohan and so on. While these are held by an individual, that individual gathers around them servants and students who help advance their cause, and who may lay aside their individual work to fulfil some task on behalf of the Office. In this way the individuals involved with a particular office may identify themselves with that office, each rightfully claiming to be, e.g. Manu, while yet not themselves being the title holder of the office in which they serve.
I hope this helps to clarify some of the issues dealt with in the article.
