About Guy Thorvaldsen

I have lived in Madison, WI for 34 years. I am married and have two adult children and three step-kids. I do carpentry, write, tutor, and do eldercare.

Areas of involvement with the Findhorn Foundation Community: Worked in Maintenence and Building Program, Organized Community Men's Group and Men's Workshops, Swam in the North Sea everyday for two years. Lived mostly in the Park.
Community leadership: Led Park Maintenance Dpt., Co-lead Youth Project Exchange between Russia, Sweden and Botswana with Liza Schnadt. Co-led Family Conference, Lead Carpenter building the Community Center with JohnTalbot
Experience in the community affected your work in the world: Everyday. I became an English Professor at a local Community College. My multi-cultural experience, leading groups at Findhorn were critical skills for teaching. I also am an author of poetry, Memoir, and Non-ficiton
