Saint Germain is a historically important, but largely invisible presence in this community. He is well known to people who have studied in the esoteric traditions … as an ascended master, Hierach of the Aquarian Age and Master of the purple 7th Ray of ceremony, magic and ritual. He is called the keeper of the violet flame, the sacred flame of love and light and the I AM teachings. He is regarded as Lord of Civilisation and Maitreya the Christ.
This is a high accolade which might not resonate with those of us who are not familiar with these teachings. I think it is important to know a little about Saint Germain though as both Peter Caddy and ROC had a close relationship with him as was described in early stories including the Unpremeditated Pilgrimage.
Linking with this high vibrational light stream of St Germain was an important part of Peter Caddy’s early spiritual education. Peter was invited to become a member of the Rosicrucian tradition, by his teacher and mentor Dr George Sullivan…(who was supreme Magus of the Rosicrucian Crotona Fellowship Order and whose spiritual name was Aureolis). The teachings which Peter received laid the foundations for his future life and were part of the foundations of this community.
The painting in the St. Germain Sanctuary in the Park Building was gifted to Peter by George Sullivan. In the early days of the community Peter and others would meet in the Park Sanctuary to evoke the presence and energetic support of St. Germain. ROC gives a description of standing in front of this portrait and experiencing it becoming energetically alive. ROC felt that his higher self was merged with Saint Germain.
I have discovered Saint Germain mostly by accident, through meditating in the early morning in the St. Germain Sanctuary. It is a cosy and intimate space for meditation … gradually however I started to experience something special, transformational, and profoundly heart expanding and loving. I became aware that there was a lot more to St. Germain than the rather old fashioned portrait on the wall. For me what is of far greater importance than any attempted representation of him or speculation about his incarnation is the energetic presence of St. Germain.
It is clear that this particular being of light, St. Germain, is well known in Western Mystery traditions, and is of an extremely high order. Unless we are attuned and sensitive, as ROC and some early members of our community were, this is beyond what most of us can easily encompass with our human range of thought and imagination. What is helpful to remember is that St. Germain has a long term and important place in the story of this community. Also that his presence and spiritual energy can be consciously aligned with and evoked.
This is the legacy which our founders and early members of the community have given us. Through their deep spiritual work, which involved aligning deeply each day with the presences of love and light (which included Saint Germain) they were responsible for anchoring a spiritual impulse which continues to radiate, and embrace all of us, both here in the area as well as far beyond. Its a time to remember, bless and honour all of them as we celebrate this historic moment.
