Through Heartbeat Findhorn Margo shared her passion for The Work That Reconnects, the Game of Transformation, and based on her Buddhist tradition Feeding Your Demons.

In her own words she describes herself:

Margo van Greta is a pioneer of holistic spirituality and a facilitator of transformation, creating a safe and supportive space for deepening the inner journey. She met Joanna Macy in 2000, fell in love with the Work That Reconnects. It combines her roles as a social activist, Ecovillage resident and Buddhist practitioner. She facilitates courses based on Active Hope and The Work That Reconnects, both on site and online.
Since 1991 she lives and works in the Ecovillage Findhorn Community in Scotland, UK. She is passionate about integrating spiritual practice in daily life, and created Heartbeat Findhorn: Inner Work for Outer Action.
She is a Buddhist practitioner since 1987, teaches Buddhism, facilitates individual sessions Feeding Your Demons and guides the Transformation Game. She lives in a beautiful small eco house, and loves her daily walks to the beach.

From Sass Campbell – In honour of Margo

I was fortunate enough to know Margo as a holder of many Tibetan Buddhist courses over numerous years, both in person and online. She was a superb teacher. It always felt as if we were exploring the topic together. Afresh, anew, in the moment, quite astounding.

Her more recent online course influenced by Joanna Macy, The work that Reconnects, was excellent and from what I observed highly influential in participants daily lives.

The same was true for her Feeding your Demons course based on Tsultrim Allione’s work. How she energetically held that field so well and directed us on a zoom call is staggering.

Same could be said for Green Tara and Vajrasattva Practices. She was passionate, compassionate and a highly skilled teacher. And fun!

It was delightful yesterday to see her family and friends so beautifully together holding her leaving ceremony. Deeply moving.

For several days I’ve felt the land she loved and walked so much wanting to acknowledge her.

As John O’Donohue so beautifully says:

‘is it not possible that that place has a huge affection for you? And that it could see you in
a very special way and indeed be very proud of you?’
‘That it will miss your presence, the way that you walked upon it, the bright waves of your
thoughts , the stories and news that you brought of other places where it could never go
and the whole aura and light and luminosity of your soul.’

When I came home from her funeral I found myself sitting at the piano, opening the window and playing. I opened a book of music I’d never played from. The sounds floated over the ripe barley fields to Cluny Hill. The tunes that came were An Ataireachd Ard ( The surge of the Sea), Laoidh Chalium Chille (The Sound of Mull) and Mo Nighean Donn Bhoidheach (The Brown Haired Maiden). They were a gift from the land to a beloved one who has left the physical.
