Having read something of the importance of 1965 for Peter and the Findhorn experiment we should look more closely at some of the figures he encountered.

Among the most significant at this time was Liebie Pugh. We have seen how it was purely ‘by accident’ that Peter got to meet her, taking Eileen Keck, the friend of Lady Mayo, to see her on his way south with Dorothy and Naomi. Despite the disapproval of her secretary they got to meet with Liebie and she became a strong influence through the remaining year and a half of her life. We have extensive material in the Archive, by courtesy of Dr Dennis Evenson, an early member, relating to the close connection that Liebie and Eileen made during this time. In her autobiography, Flight into Freedom, Eileen tells of her connection with Liebie Pugh (pp.115-119).

Peter refers to some booklets that Liebie had written for the Catholic Church. She seems to have been something of a psychic investigator for them. It was no surprise then that when the Psychic News made public the story of ‘the Weeping Angel of Worthing’ picture she should go to investigate it. Here is the account that was published subsequently in an addendum to Nothing Else Matters following Liebie’s death.

On Tuesday, April 11th 1961, Richard Grave, who had quite recently taken a lease of the house where this visitation occurred, was clearing out some rubbish from the detached garage and had an old picture under his arm. and was on his way to the dustbin with it. He was taking this picture to throw it away, without examination. Just regarding it as rubbish left by his predecessor.
As he was carrying it under his right arm to throw it away, he was aware of a figure standing in front of him and blocking his way.
The figure spoke and said “I AM HE”, and reached out his left hand and touched the picture. Immediately the glass of the picture shivered into bits and the figure disappeared in a blaze of orange light. So strong was this light that Mr Grave put up his left arm to shield his eyes, and the forearm was immediately burned.
He was at first greatly upset. and found a guest who was staying in the house, a retired schoolmistress. and told her what had occurred. They placed some lint on the burn after Mr Grave had set the picture on a side table.
About half on hour after this, Mrs Grave came in after a visit to the Hairdresser, and they all examined the picture and saw that it was dark and blistered. and only fit to be thrown away.
When Mrs Grave heard the story fully and they were all looking at the grimed old picture, Mr Grave began to think it was all an hallucination, and that the glare of light had been some strange kind of electrical fault,gathering strength from some atmospheric condition, and they all began to laugh heartily at his fright and his wife put the picture down on the floor, leaning it against her washing machine.
About an hour later Mrs Grave looked at the picture again and called out to her husband. She said “My God, look at the picture”. When he looked he saw that it was perfectly restored and of a clear colour and the blisters were smoothed out.
The picture on examination, turned out to be the Angels announcing the coming of Christ to the shepherds and was entitled “The First Christmas Morn”.
At the sight of the perfectly restored picture Mr Grave’s fears returned. and doing the only thing that came to his mind, he telephoned to a clergy-man he had met previously, who arranged an appointment with him for that evening.
When Mr Grave went to see him he told him everything that had happened. The clergyman was sympathetic about it all. He saw the burn and said. “Undoubtedly it is a burn. It is very odd and I cannot explain it at all”. Before Mr Grave left, the clergyman had promised that he would come and see the picture, which he did two days later.
On Wednesday April 12th the figure who had appeared to Mr Grave (and touched the picture shattering the glass and disappearing in a blaze of light) appeared again, but with no accompanying light on this occasion. The circumstances were as follows:—
Mr Grave had occasion to go into the conservatory where the picture was lying face upwards on the top of a trunk, and as he opened the door he saw, hovering above the picture, the same figure who had the day before appeared in the passageway.
Quite simply Mr Grave was terrified. He slammed the door and ran and found his wife and brought her to the conservatory. The figure was still there but only visible to Mr Grave. His wife saw nothing but the restored picture lying on the trunk.
By this time Mr Grave’s original fears had returned in full force, fears, of course, that he was losing his reason, and his description of this period was both graphic and extremely painful to hear, and very naturally, the fears were shared by his wife.
On Thursday April 13th he was obliged to go to London on business and twice telephoned to his wife to ascertain that all was well with her, and also whether the clergyman had called. When he first heard that he had not yet called, his alarm only increased, and he considered that the clergyman thought of him as someone suffering from hallucinations, and did not intend to visit him or see the picture. On the next day this particular fear was removed by the clergyman’s visit, when he was entirely kind and serious about the whole matter, although unable to offer Mr Grave any help.
On Friday April 14th Mrs Grave noticed a wet patch on the floor where the picture stood and pointed this out to her husband. He concluded that some dampness must have got into it from being stored in the outhouse, and he took it to the lounge fire to dry it thoroughly.
Then it was noticed that the water continued to appear on the picture and that it was coming from the face of the foremost of the group of angels. This flow of water continued in spite of the fact that the picture had been placed for some hours in front of the fire, and was still standing there.
From this point for about two weeks Mr Grave, battling obviously with his fears and determined to remain as far as in him lay, cool and objective, made the most careful observations of this phenomenon.
A phial of the water was collected by Mr Grave in the company of Mr Peter Burnett of the “Evening Argus” and they both tasted the water and found it tasted salt. The picture was standing by the fire and constantly continued to weep intermittently sometimes for a couple of hours and sometimes just a few drops of water appeared. A great many people have seen this happen and have touched and tasted the water. At one point, on one of the earlier occasions when the phenomenon was new and most startling to all, Mr Grave and others were present when someone shouted “The picture is weeping”! and so great was the excitement that two young house-painters heard the commotion from across the road and came running and stood before the picture watching the water running down. One of the young men, dumbfounded, exclaimed “Cor. the eye’s alive, it’s crying”.
A number of observers are ready to witness as to what has occurred by signing an Affidavit to the effect that this weeping took place in their presence.
The quantity of water was such that it was decided to test this by placing the picture at a set time over a plastic pail. This was done and the pail was filled in two days. Over the weeks many similar experiments have been made and, necessarily, the picture was always kept over some kind of receptacle to prevent the overflow of water on the carpets and furniture.
Mr Grave submitted a sample of the water to a chemist friend of his, who stated that it contained uric acid.
It is to be noted particularly, as giving a clear indication of Mr Graves practical and realistic outlook, and there was first a natural fear and alarm for his own mental balance; followed quickly by a forthright rejection of all cause for alarm, and hearty laughter for what he regarded as his own mistake, but almost at once the pattern completely changed. for three totally inexplicable things occurred:
1. The picture was fully restored without the touch of any human hand.
2. The figure had appeared a second time and continued to appear, seen only by Mr Grave and no one else.
3. The weeping began and continued while the picture was observed and tested.
After the perfect restoration of the picture, and the second appearance of the unknown visitor, and the beginning and continuance of the weeping, Mr Grave’s natural and most real fears for his sanity were in full force again, although tempered and held in check by his fine determination to examine and investigate all that was taking place as coolly and scientifically as possible.
And now we must come to that element of the whole matter, which at first only increased his fears, and then gradually reduced them to their native nothingness, and produced in Mr Grave the completely peaceful and happy condition of mind which has been his now for many weeks, and on which all his visitors remark when in his company. This mighty element, to which all else seems to serve merely as an introduction, is the fact that since the second appearance of the figure to Mr Grave on Wednesday April 12th, very few days have passed without one, and sometimes more than one, visit of this figure.
For about three weeks the figure seemed to emerge above the picture and then to glide to the ground and stand beside Mr Grave, but it should be clearly understood that at no time did the figure appear to have the nature of an apparition, but on the contrary, always from the moment of emerging above the picture, and during the descent to the floor, and at all subsequent times, this figure maintained the most complete solidity and normality as of a human figure to all Mr Grave’s sense perceptions, i.e. to sight, sound and touch.
In fact, the figure appears and acts and speaks invariably as a normal human being, with the exception that so far he has only been perceptible to Mr Grave, though about two months after the first appearance the visitor was on one occasion seen standing behind Mrs Grave and was seen to be giving her healing. Mrs Grave had been experiencing certain nervous tensions, following an attack of influenza, and was aware of an internal pain which was causing her great concern. No doubt these facts were the reason. or part of the reason, why the healing was given.
Mr Grave saw the figure standing there behind his wife and told her to keep still and not be disturbed. “Don’t look round” he said, as he watched the figure raise and lower his hands, with thumbs linked together, twice over his wife’s head, so that the palms. fingers, and linked thumbs were placed twice directly on her head. Mrs Grave felt this touch quite distinctly and was freed from the nervous state and the pain at that time. Mr Grave heard the Visitor say ”The last veil has lifted”. Mrs Grave’s renewed health and freedom from pain has continued and Mr Grave overwhelmingly interested to find that someone beside himself was receiving some objective evidence of the presence (which had hitherto been perceptible to himself alone) and most anxious to check on the reality of this new factor, pressed his wife as to whether it was just a general sense of force in and around her head which she felt, but her reply was invariably “I felt the hands on my head”. This is the more significant, as throughout the visitations she hitherto had felt, seen, and heard nothing at all, although she had, of course, seen many effects of the Presence, such as doors opening and closing when Mr Grave saw the figure enter and leave a room, and also their budgerigar’s excitement and fluttering and cheeping when the Visitor was present.
It would almost seem that in the first appearances the picture was used as some kind of focal link, since the figure appeared at first always in connection with it and, as already explained. during this early period Mr Grave’s state was one of very considerable disturbance of mind. As the visits continued. partly through the simple fact of their repetition. and partly also through the very compelling and confident statements made by his Visitor. Mr Grave’s disturbance decreased. and was, after a few weeks, eliminated. Whether there is any connection. it is impossible to say, but it should be recorded that as Mr Grave became completely calm, the visitations and communications became as it were, established, the link with the picture was gradually dispensed with, and from that time until the time of this writing, the figure has appeared at any time and place, and always in the same solid way, just walking into a room, or being found seated in a room by Mr Grave on his entry, or in the garden, or in the street, as will subsequently be told.
Shortly after these first appearances to Mr Grave this figure stated that he had bestowed on him the gift of healing, and that he must use it widely.
The first occasion when this gift was exercised was when two ladies. a Mrs Sheelagh Wheeler and her friend Mrs Bennett came to see the picture and met Mr Grave on May 6th. actually an hour before my first visit.
They both had the privilege of seeing the angel weep and they asked for healing for a Mr McNeal said to be dying of cancer. He was a middle aged man, with a wife and children. and medically there was no hope for him. Later Mrs Wheeler told me that Mr McNeal was at that time lying in a very weak condition, unable to eat solid food and in great pain and depression, crying almost incessantly. When Mr Grave was asked to give healing he said he did not know how to do this, and that they had better touch the tears and try and send healing themselves.
They did this with considerable emotion, and Mrs Wheeler who is greatly gifted psychically herself, saw a figure she described as the Master clairvoyantly and heard distinctly the words “Take courage”.
The next news was that Mr McNeal was sitting up in bed, free from pain, very cheerful, and when his wife visited him, he asked for some of his favourite sandwiches. She went home and cut them for him, using half a loaf to do so, and he ate them all. Strangely, though lying indoors in a hospital bed, he acquired a strong sun tan. His complete cheerfulness and freedom from pain were perhaps the most striking features of the first effects of the healing power,
By this time some of these facts had begun to leak out. Accounts of the matter were published in all the local papers, and in the “Daily Mail” and the “Daily Herald”, and some articles appeared in the “Psychic News”. It was at that time that the picture became known as “The Weeping Angel of Worthing.” (Nothing Else Matters – Sub-title The Universal Link pp 3-6)

The rest of the story maybe found in the PDF publication Nothing Else Matters pt II. Liebie relates many miracles and incidents describing fully the approach of the Master and his relationship with Richard Grave. In 1957 she published a book called “Nothing Else Matters”. This is also available as a PDF document. It is a collection of thoughts and revelations Liebie Pugh had had over a number of years. In the Introduction she writes:

Let us suppose together, my readers and I, for a brief space that a mighty but at present invisible host are putting into operation a vast plan under Divine Direction—a plan of such magnitude that we can only glimpse the general outlines of it but nevertheless a plan so simple and compelling that it is, despite our slowness and inertia, gripping our world’s attention and leading us where we should go. (Nothing Else Matters, p.11)

This is the basic premise on which so many new movements have come into being over the last century.
It certainly lay at the basis of the Findhorn Foundation and its further unfolding from the first days of a subsistence garden through to the charitable trust it has become.

To place Liebie’s comments in context, the earliest comments she makes come from the mid-1950s.
Senator McCarthy had concluded his scathing attack on American society under the pretext of communist infiltration. It was at a time when the Cold War was coming to a head and the people of Europe were beginning to realise the sheer scale of horror that another World War would mean. In Germany this had the effect in the 1960s of creating groups such as the Baader-Meinhof anarchistic group who may be considered the first of the modern terrorist groups. According to Wikipedia, in an article titled the Red Army Faction, the group were supported by the Stasi, the East German security police. The West German people knew they were the front line of any nuclear war that was likely to take place and saw that they had no choice but to tear the whole capitalist system down. As it happened years later it was the Berlin Wall which was torn down and the Soviet block that crumbled. But those details go beyond the scope of this essay.

It is clear from the following extract that Liebie is expecting the second coming and a detailed reading of the booklet ‘Nothing Else Matters, pt II, The Universal Link’ shows that the recording she made at the instruction of the Master, was clearly her keeping a record of that event. She describes an encounter Mr Grave had of the Master standing on the water at St Anne’s-on-Sea with a multitude around him who all slowly walked towards Mr Grave until they came on to dry land when the Master himself came forward alone to stand by his friend.

An extract from the Introduction to Nothing Else Matters reads as follows:

The invisible is to become visible. That is the sum and substance of the message, and my writing it and your reading it, is, by some spiritual alchemy beyond our present understanding but wholly scientific, to be part of the means of the invisible becoming visible.
Picture for a split second all who have gone beyond our sight. Picture the marvel of that world, with special thought of the great ones of our earth—the saints, the artists, the scientists, the masters—all becoming able to manifest themselves to us—to show themselves so that we may see them, hear them, touch them, live with them in their world. We would know the glory of their life, the omnipotence of the power of thought, the sheer exuberance and beauty of the true actuality of spiritual living when all are lovable, attractive and enchantingly vital—all beyond any of our present conception—totally beyond—but all to be revealed to us in this our day.
What shall follow after is beyond our present thoughts and dreams. One of Katherine Hayward’s inspirers described it recently as “life in a world we shall adore to live in.”
(Nothing Else Matters, Pp.13-14)

This reads like a description of the Golden Age as it lives in myth and distant memory. Clearly Liebie Pugh accepts that each soul is unique and has only one life, and expects to meet, after the veil has been lifted, all those great souls, as well as all the other souls presumably, and to converse and marvel at their sublimity. Reading these words in the 3rd millennium no doubt causes the vision held in the earlier millennium to appear naïve and absurd. However Christian doctrine on the soul was still most definitely limited, arguing that the soul came into existence at birth and grew during the course of life, for better or worse. However this does not tally with accounts from older European traditions and the esoteric schools of both East and West, which speak of the pre- existence of the Soul prior to incarnation in the world. This was said to be Jesus original teaching also. It is the material world which is seen as illusory and the realm of the Soul and the invisible worlds, which are considered to be more enduring and closer to the One, God, Consciousness, however one chooses to identify that. Since Liebie’s day not only has the spiritual revolution from the introduction of Eastern faiths taken place, but we have also had the awakening of the ‘psychological schools’ which speak in terms of multi-dimensional awareness. Sadly one has to say with little clarity of thought in them to date.

It is not entirely clear what Peter Caddy means when he speaks of Liebie as having been ‘with the Catholic Church for two years’. Had she taken some orders within the Church for a period of time? Her book Abide in Me had been published by the Catholic Truth Society. However his description of her is worth quoting

“Liebie Pugh was a remarkable woman. She had an unusual face, like a Tibetan’s, and her features seemed neither male nor female, neither oriental nor occidental, but had elements of all; her skin was slightly yellow with the most wrinkles I have ever seen in a single face. She took my hands and the first words she said were, ‘St Germain’ – she recognised that I had a strong link with the Master of the Seventh ray. I realised we were in the presence of somebody who had an extraordinary effect on people – when she took Naomi’s hands, for example, Naomi immediately went into a trance!”
(In Perfect Timing, p. 234)

Before exploring the full effect that Liebie had on the teachings of the founders, and particularly Eileen it is perhaps apposite to tell of the story of Liebie and Eileen as it is recorded in letters between them. Liebie was seriously ill when Peter met her and for much of the following year was in great pain. Coming from a Catholic background she will have recognised pain and suffering as a necessary evil bringing blessings in their wake in the form of spiritual benefits. Had she come from another background the emphasis may well have been placed more on living through joy or love than suffering.
As the relationship with the Master developed so Liebie Pugh’s health deteriorated until she was in great pain. I have included the letters we have from her to, principally, Eileen for the interest they show in, and the closeness she felt towards this community in its development. Liebie Pugh died in December 1966.

Here are a number of extracts from her letters.

Dec 11th 1965

My Elixir – I have this moment read your letter.
When this revelation comes to anyone there is just one thing I want to say – I want now to say it to you.
It is this. Thank you for that in you which has permitted this to happen and I want you to know that this always bring me a heightening of the colossoal isolation.
You will have heard from Anthony that all, literally all, but the Fact Itself, is completely veiled from me and so the isolation is extreme.

Jan 12th 1966

You say that I will understand because I know all Things and realise what is in the depth of your heart. That of course is true of the one you have recognised as me but the one I live with and know is completely shut off from all this inner knowledge and awareness. I want you to be quite clear about that dear one. We have been told that it is necessary for this smooth-running of this Universal operation. I only mentioned it to be quite sure that it is clearly known to you all.
For the rest it is all quite beyond any possible words and we just rest in the knowledge that All is Well. As Truth says “Each moment in the Universal Link is special”. Don’t you love that one? I should like a photograph of you My Elixir – Liebie with my love.

Eileen here seems to have supposed that Liebie Pugh knew all things due to her close connection with – or possibly mistaking her for – the Master, who at this time was almost certainly seen as Jesus himself.
There were many predictions that Jesus would return, many of them involving Flying Saucers, and the air of expectancy was great. Perhaps it had been so since the Theosophical Society and Annie Besant declared Krishna Murti to be the second coming of the Saviour. I use these terms as that was the prevailing mindset. However Liebie Pugh is determined that Eileen should be under no misapprehension regarding this as she wants her too to realise herself fully and to know that despite close contact with some higher aspect, of oneself or another, it does not render the individual All knowing and All powerful. A common mistake.

Jan 25th 1966

Elixir – your precious letter has just come. I think I can ease the strangeness for you just a little & I hope the pain.
The Master has stated in various forms that there are not two of us – i.e. a body here with him overshadowing it or filling it – He says “My earth entity is my sole entity” so that clears up the feeling of twoness and your last experience feels like a signal for me to explain this to you. I hope to remove the pain to some extent from you. The next point he has given us is that this one does not suffer at all – He says

“That which appears” to be discomfort is the evidence of my Universal energy in circulation. There is no discomfort with my earth being.” But (& this explains your vision & the undoubtedly difficult time I do appear to undergo) he also has told us that he has “created a character of my earth being that seemingly expresses calculated misery.” These are such strong words aren’t they Elixir – they tie in with what you [were] experiencing as you seemed to become one with my body – but he goes comfortingly on “NO such MISERY could exist with my true self- the outward expression of my earth being is simply the using of All that energy that circulates from Me.”

This may not seem too helpful because the seeming pain does seem to be present [a good deal] but as I know you have lived close to the grand teaching of Aureolis – you will be able to see how all he says about the power of True Thought and True affirmation does actually work remove the consciousness ??from?? the seeming sense of pain so that you can if you dwell firmly with it, live in & experience the real Truth of All is Good – All is Peace even while the seeming discomfort and pain is still partially present. “There will be a lifting of the Veil prior to the Great revelation & this will be consistent with the speeding up of the Universal Vibrations…..
The lifting of the Veil that I speak of means …. that eventually the earthing aspect of Me … will be concluded in a natural manner. My earth being function is most definitely a Phoenix which completes its concatenate on THE DAY.”

Definitions Dictionary

Phoenix. Bird fabled to burn itself on a pyre and rise renewed from the ashes Concatenation Connection as of chain links.

This may be the first prediction of Liebie’s death, although since it refers to ‘The Day’ it would appear that this was already known at that time. It is certainly true that Liebie knew when she was to leave the body and Peter was present during that day. Eileen relates her experience of that time in her biography though she was still at Findhorn.

An extract dated 3rd March 1966 reads

On thinking this over it is growing & glowing in wonder – in view of all we have been told. Here I write in the fullest possible way of what I feel is required now i.e. incessant Risen Thinking. There you receive direct from your Divine Source Lift Lift. The Unity is awesome. Love

Liebie Pugh was used to recording the messages received by Richard Grave, I have no details of when she began to grow so close to the All-Knowing One (later called Limitless Love and Truth by David Spangler and others), nor indeed whether this is the Master she is referring to.

To reflect for a moment on the nature of these encounters and expression we must consider the nature of the knowledge of the Soul and the incarnate person. It is clear that the Soul holds the living memory of the experiences the self has accumulated through many lifetimes. Sometimes these ‘bleed through’ to the awareness of an incarnated identity and it begins to have recall of past encounters. However, no matter how aware of the presence of the Soul the individual may become it is also clear that Soul will hold far more knowledge than the present life will be able to maintain, and operate independently of the awareness of that incarnation. Besides there being no relevance it would also be too distracting for the soul trying to gain experience in this world if it was to swamp the existing self with all the knowledge of the past lives it has lived.

When Liebie Pugh says in the extract from January 12th

You say that I will understand because I know all Things and realise what is in the depth of your heart. That of course is true of the one you have recognised as me but the one I live with and know is completely shut off from all this inner knowledge and awareness

it is clear that Eileen has not understood the separation that exists between the higher self that speaks through Liebie and that Eileen has identified as Liebie, and Liebie Pugh, the woman incarnate on Earth. The woman is cut off from all of the insights and wisdoms of that Higher Self other than as she is able to access them in meditation or other altered states. This is worthy of some reflection. When we think of the great teachers or artists we identify them as having spoken these truths or brought those works of art into being. We do not think of the failing marriages, or indeed the failed miracles, as the identity of those beings. (Unless we are looking through the eyes of a reporter at some figure in current society.)

For Liebie the most important thing in her life was not the sacrifice she had to make to reach that higher level of awareness but the higher level itself. All her life she had been working towards it and now is given the opportunity, which she identifies as ‘Risen Thinking’. What I understand her to be advising Eileen is ‘do not identify with the body when it is the soul you seek’. For herself, yes she accepts that there is physical suffering but, compared with the rewards she is experiencing, these are as nothing, and it is not appropriate for Eileen to take on the physical suffering herself since this is so small a part of the overall experience.

More importantly the suffering will soon be over and Eileen has not faculties wherewith to deal with the pain. It is the conundrum of spiritual healing. To what extent is the illness the result of a karmic debt or imbalance that the individual has to resolve within themselves. The healer is helpless in the face of universal laws. These must hold sway and while it is comforting to speak of re-balancing this or that, very often a healer will not look deeper at the cause of the illness in their anxiety to alleviate the suffering they see another facing. Such altruism is misplaced. This is not to decry all healers as fakes or do-gooders but to speak of the instructive nature of illness. In this case Liebie Pugh says quite clearly, through the words of the Master, that the energy generated by the suffering fuels the spiritual climb she is making.

In the first line the Master tells Liebie that the discomfort is due to the circulation of energy of His Being.
Those on the initiatic path are familiar with the concept that crisis precipitates the soul, and often mental illness is an indication of the approach of the soul to the incarnate life. The personality, and even more so the ego, of the individual builds up resistance and preconceptions of right and wrong, of good and bad and so on. For the Soul to express fully it must tear these coverings away from the personality and reveal the self within. This frequently takes more than a single challenge to the self before it is able to realise that all it was holding on to were inventions of its own or those that society has forced upon it. They are worthless and as realisation dawns so values begin to change. It is important also to recall the dramatic rising in energy and vibration that occurred through the end of the last century. By the mid 1960s these vibratory changes were hardly being felt. Over the next three decades and into the third millennium rapid changes occurred, with each passing decade the energy grew stronger and more vital. Liebie had lived her whole life in the concrete world of material existence. That is not to say she did not aspire to spiritual things, clearly she did. Rather that the world itself was a very fixed solid affair. People had jobs that lasted until they retired. The physical atoms were the smallest units composed only of energy and the world was as it should be. During the 1950s as nations sought independence and the true crimes of the Second World War became general knowledge so many of society’s values were being called into question. But it was not until the mid 1970s that, notably the Punk movement, began to point the finger at the hypocrisy which had been running the world for so long.

During the 1960s when Love ruled the world a hit song was called Concrete and Clay with a chorus that went ‘the concrete and the clay beneath my feet begin to crumble but love will never die, though we may see the mountains tumble before we say goodbye, my love and I will be in love eternally, that’s the way, that’s the way its gotta be’. But the opposite image was being held by councils in Britain as voiced in the song ‘Little boxes’ where the singer describes a world with everyone having their own number and they all live in little boxes all the same, there are green ones, and blue ones, pink ones and yellow ones and ‘they’re all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same’. The image of the expanding economy, an unending prosperity, with each family consisting of 2.5 children and two parents with 1.4 cars. It was a rock solid world with no lee-way for experiment or difference. That was about to change.

But it was in that world that Liebie had lived and that had moulded her body. It was that solidity which was breaking down as the higher vibration of the Master began to shake her out of her familiar way of being.
This is not to put words into Liebie’s mouth but only to elucidate the message.
It is not necessary to include the transcripts of the many letters we have. However it is worthwhile to quote the most significant extracts.

Liebie had been re-reading the following portion from her booklet “Abide in Me”:

“O Lord, I long to spend this day in closer union with You than ever before. I long to be more blindly abandoned to Your Will today than ever before. I long to see and serve and love You in every soul today more than ever before.
I long to do these things calmly and cheerfully in Your honour and for pure love of You.
Please help me.”

THE REVELATION CONFRONTATION BETWEEN THE EARTH ENTITY AND THE
A.K.O. AS DICTATED BY RICHARD GRAVE TO LIEBIE PUGH ON THURSDAY 6TH JANUARY
At 11.57 p.m. on Tuesday 4th January 1966 while Liebie Pugh was alone in her flat a sudden confrontation took place between Liebie and the A.K.O. ALL was revealed fully to Liebie over a period of 4 hours 17 minutes.
I , LIEBIE PUGH HAVE. SEEN. I KNOW.
Monday 5th December 1966 will complete Liebie’s EARTH FUNCTION.

It may be seen as a self-fulfilling prophecy because Liebie did indeed die on the 5th of December 1966.
However we are ill placed to make a judgement on that issue.

On February 26th Liebie wrote to Eileen (as Elixir),

My Elixir I want to write but quite shortly [on the various points] for the joy of ever-increasing cooperation and to make room [for] the main point. May I send straightaway extreme thanks for all
contributions to yesterday’s dear envelope. All noted and enjoyed confirmation is unfailingly a happiness so I must tell you on both Richard’s recent visits he has actually referred [with definite thoughtfulness] to “about 20 months” or “only about 22 months” in reference of course to this strange and somewhat crippling phase- so there you have it – exact-! I’m so glad Peter has written to him again

Your vision of the painting and our Kathleen fared when painting Light … was of course marvellous and now lastly – my reason for this letter.

The strangest caesarean birth vision – but not difficult to interpret. It is so remarkable but also so clear a symbol, so we get right down to it & what I want to say. When you were here you told me to my very great thankfulness that the pain you suffered when your body seemed identical with mine was only that one occasion.

I hope I may continue to rest in that and when you [speak] pain itself that is the important factor. But the way it is literally forcing me to try & get ahead upon Risen thinking – with Aureolis.. St Germain ‘I am’ thinking – Christian Science they are all fundamentally the same & have we not got to go the whole way ? Things are as we think ! Right then why should we think of ‘latter days’. I wrote lately to Mollie “Lets not create latter days”. She was enchanted & said it was so obvious that it was ?? -‘ll hadn’t been in our thought before. I wrote this to Merta Mary Parkinson and today have received among many other wonders her delight in it and she says it will be in the forefront of her thought for [the]months to come.
She had been flying back to K.C. from a holiday on Honolulu & the weather was so wild (& she is a tremendously seasoned traveller, her husband is in charge of TWA & he thought the plane would have to be diverted so she found herself thinking how does the machine stand the strains and stresses. She leant back, conceived of suffering with me – you only mean in that dear old-fashioned word sympathy [sense] – meaning simply “feeling with” another. I feel sure this is so.
Now you are right that there’s been an illness?? – I’m jokingly calling it “the second front” & that is what you are being shown no doubt [no fresh sore place – only another area that hurts]. This amazing symbol & what you were also told. Clearing means that in some blessed degree what is going on here is being allowed to ease things for some (God grant Many) emerging into the New. I was particularly delighted on one point that you could see and feel with me that all these testings & struggles so much emphasized by so many are by no means a necessity – & can be by-passed. That lets in a floodlight of agreement with my distaste from so much thought & emphasis being given to them further. Its not necessary in this entrance into the New maybe we hadn’t got the emphasis [quite] right before. Anyway its the NOW we are concerned with in your letter & vision & my reply tonight.
I’m not at all certain whether it is (words lost in copy fold)
[As you know] We have some remarkable writings here [about all this] if you were here I would doubtless share them [they are of course only for those who know]. But recently I have had one or two copies made [on the specific point of C.M.* & what it is] & Kathleen and Mollie & Joanie have read them [over and over again]. There is no doubt that it throws a very definite light on C.M. that none of [us] could have thought of for ourselves in a million years.
The essence of it is that [a kind of registration mechanism has been set up in this place &] I am not suffering.
“There can be no discomfort with My Real Self”. What you see is the Universal reaction which will continue throughout my programme… the outward expression of my earth living is simply the using of ALL that energy that circulates from ME. It is the evidence of My Universal Energy in circulation again I say… There is no Discomfort with my EARTH BEING. Remember this “you will remember I AM BEYOND HUMAN LEVEL FEELINGS”
These are a few sentences telescoped together [some of which I may have sent earlier] & no doubt you will have it all in due time. But it does help to dwell with it. It appears quite clear that what seems so painful is a sort of mechanism set up [in the Plan] which registers the resistance or reaction ??out in?? the plane in a cocoon of quiet and tranquil air. All was peace. They were in K.C half an hour before scheduled time!
Of course we all know of such things & rejoice in them. But do we take them for examples?
A plane battered about – and then held in thought as in a cocoon of tranquil air – & it was so – then why not our Earth – our universe?
Aureolus says “I mentally create every condition & the condition then is reflected in my environment.” All the true ones say it [in one form or another] I won’t go on and labour it. If we all did this literally about the coming 20 months – about all no-time periods for the whole Universe why should we not all experience “& it was so”?
Now don’t for a moment feel I want you to answer this part or enter into it. I know you agree [broadly] – all of you – anyway so there is no need to go into it.
I’m only bringing it in here because of this astoundingly definite realisation [of yours] about the flawless births as a result of the [seeming] suffering. I say seeming deliberately is taking place. Only the Real is True & All is Good. But shall we not emerge more smoothly rapidly into that state of God-Realisation by these thoughts I am so feebly setting down.
Some of these directions are so simple. I am bound at times to follow them in an awfully simple and childlike way. Aureolus instruction to repeat things aloud long enough that no other thought can enter in. Such phrases as “My heart sings” or “I am happy” just repeated, held to, do for the time make indulgence in fear, self-pity literally impossible – for the time being !
So I ask myself almost incessantly why do I not stick at them, stick with them incessantly?
I haven’t got your blessed letter here. Joanie has it tonight. But I believe you asked me in it if there is anything you can do to help me. I realize now that this letter is the answer. I find it bothers me to think of you being caused the faintest suffering because of me. I want only to in the ?? in the Universe. We laughingly picture it some times as a sort of thermometer for registering progress.
Now you’ll see of course why I had to write all this. It is that I can’t bear to think of you having one unnecessary pang on my behalf. & more than that I think the help [you can give] above all is for you & all close ones to see it like this. Like it is something is being done [& is somehow helping this entrance into the New] as your vision told you. No immensity is beyond our thought altogether. But if I am right that it is not the pain that does it., but that the pain forces me (as a means of getting by) to increase and increase my practise of Aureolis – in Risen Thinking – that I think may be what causes these perfect struggle-free births. So . Why shouldn’t we concentrate wholly on that & create mentally a cocoon of tranquil air on which – in which through which – the blessed New can be born faultlessly.
Oh, of course , in Reality none of this … Cause of joy to you.
If I could think from now on until Phoenix Day that you are seeing me, thinking of me Without pain – that you are remembering that I am aiming to stay [to some degree consciously] at this point – then I think You would be helping me wholly – because we are all one. I want [us all] to make a riotously joyful thing of this.
Richard and I both feel that, strange as it all is, it does fit – its big enough to fit & if only we can all be glad about it & keep glad about it – then it will sort of do its job best.
I’m half shy about sending this . But I can’t bear to have you only partly happy about me. I want you wholly happy & rejoicing on this assignment of ours. This will easily be possible as we’ve been given our clues that this is not real – only a seeming that our sole job is this kind of thinking not only about this but about everything.
Oh do tell me I haven’t tired you out – my Elixir I so want us all to enjoy this privileged period & we can – we do. All my love Liebie
[Written up the side of the letter] What a good thing the other long letter disappearing. Oh yes -The longer morning rest is a relief & feels good. You blessed channel.

From the above we see a number of things. Firstly some of the letters are incomplete or sentences seem not to be finished. Perhaps this is an indication of the flightiness of Liebie’s mind at this time. Sometimes the writing is illegible. But the documents when retrieved from a garage had become the home of a mouse family for sometime and some books and other articles were entirely destroyed. This letter has been included at length as it covers a lot of ground and demonstrates the ease and familiarity which Liebie felt towards both Peter and Eileen. It is worth noting that the discord which erupted after Liebie’s passing between Peter and Richard was already evident – if we suppose that Liebie’s comment on Peter having written to Richard again, refers to some difficulties between them. It would seem that Richard became quite possessive of his experience and link with The Master and felt threatened by Peter’s dynamic way of taking the lead.

From this it appears that Liebie was preparing for her ‘entry into heaven’ if we take Risen Thinking in these terms, from that earlier prediction onwards. Most importantly she wanted Eileen to see that the suffering actually helped the birthing process, and not to try to remove it from her.

In many of the letters Liebie has added comments or changed the original by erasing parts. These are shown in [ ] for insertions and with a line through where the text has been re- written. The peculiar punctuation and line spacing reflects the actual lines of the letters concerned. Lastly it be should added that a far better portrait is gained through seeing the writer as she presented herself, warts and all, as it were, than might be revealed by any amount of editing.

March 10th, 1966

Dearest Elixir. First letter of today must be to you. Thank you for all. This Easter is exquisite. Myself in the beak of the tiny soaring praising sky lark is going to help me.
Don’t have the faintest puzzlement please dear Elixir – There is no discrepancy – Please know that it helps me that someone is allowed to know of the pain. I only wanted to make sure that you don’t have it physically (like that first night) The feeling it [mentally when it is given to you] somehow does help the [to ease my] feeling of being shut in alone with it & All my emphasis on risen thinking was so exquisitely echoed by your next instruction ?? lift, lift , lift [and all turned to light] It seemed to me identical [with what I am saying] & rejoiced my heart. I only want us all to remember that we don’t make the light by our thinking & your lifting – we only get ourselves into the consciousness where we perceive it and in a way even feel it [even when our senses feel the pain] – this blessed Light – with the tiny pulsating joy way up in the sky. God has given you [this]. Now bless you. You have passed it on so gloriously to me.
No puzzlement [now] dear one I hope you say [the puzzle was] “because I feel that … it is your very suffering which seems to draw forth these realisations”
I think it is only another way of saying what I am saying [that] its not the pain that makes the light but the pain makes us rise & stay risen with the little lark, whatever the senses may seem to be doing.
My idea is that in some way quite beyond all conception – this pain, seen as light, – as
the essence of singing, is somehow tied up with the whole clearing up of the whole illusion for all. Darling Girl why not in view of “I am the Truth” that came at the beginning of all this to you. All love Liebie (cartoon of lark rising) [You’ll laugh at this – I can’t draw. K. should do it]

K refers to Kathleen Fleming who often visited Liebie, Joanie and the others at the White House in St.
Annes.

A short extract from a letter that Peter wrote to Liebie speaks of another side of the relationship and the involvement of the Foundation in other matters. It also demonstrates the importance he felt towards Liebie, as well as her relationship with Eileen. This letter is dated 25th April 1966.

My dear Liebie
It was such a joy seeing you all at St. Annes again, and bringing you up-to-date with the latest developments in this exciting linking up, but events have moved so rapidly since then that I feel that you must again be put in the picture. Kathleen Sparks is writing to you to tell you the story as it affects her, and what a story it is. We plan to go over to Iona with R.O.C., next week and I will be taking her south sometime after that when I am sure we will again call on you, but by then so much will have happened that I feel you should be given the story so far, and this she is doing.
After we left you we set out for Edinburgh calling on Jessica Ferreira en route. Jessica was thrilled and delighted at the way things have developed in connection with the Souths and gave me some money to be used to help them I am enclosing a copy of my letter to Wilfred South. It is really amazing how things are speeding up. Little did I think that they would be coming up to join us so quickly, but this is evidently in the plan.
After leaving Jessica I remembered Katharine Trevelyan’s prayer asking for the northeast to be linked in with the rest of England (enclosed also is a copy of my letter to her) and happened to mention this to Eileen Keck and Kathleen. They both knew Leslie Ottley, the Secretary of the Tyneside UFO Society, and they both longed to visit him. I too knew I had to meet him but was awaiting the right opportunity. In addition we were, as Kathleen will tell you, on the look-out for a certain Master who was to make himself known to us – and who knows, he might be en route to Newcastle. The visit to the Ottleys was important from many points of view; they were in need of lifting and of help, and this is an important contact in view of forthcoming events on the space side.
The following morning we headed for Edinburgh where I took Kathleen to meet R.O.C. at his flat. before having lunch with the Walkers. Again I will let Kathleen tell the story. R.O.C told me that he felt links with Findhorn, Iona and Glastonbury and a very strong one with you in the centre. While I was away R.O.C. wrote to Eileen after his visit to Findhorn and said “It is impossible to try to tell you what a wonderful experience my first visit to Findhorn has been. I cannot find words to do so. There is a wonderful feeling of harmony and Peace in your community, something I have never felt to such an extent anywhere before. I am sure you have many worries and difficulties to face from time to time – there always are in life- but the overall feeling is that you all rise above them. There is such a sense of being close to the presence of God which is very wonderful, and I thank you all for a lovely experience.”
After our happy time in Edinburgh we called on the trio in Abernethy, Annie, Maisie and William, and had tea there. What a joyous visit it was and again a linking up with the past.

On Christmas Eve in 1967, a year after Liebie’s passing Peter, Eileen and Joanie, who by then had moved to Findhorn from St Anne’s, spent a midnight vigil on the power point behind Cluny Hill Hotel. They were awaiting the arrival of a UFO they had been assured would be landing there. Nothing materialised on the physical plane but the event afterwards became spoken of in terms of an inner event. However this would not be the first encounter with the greater humanity that occurred at a higher frequency and while not occupying dense physical space nevertheless has been visible to sensitives.

The above letter continues

Since Kathleen and Eileen Keck have been here, much has been happening and each day is packed full to the brim. On St. George’s Day A.R.H. asked us to join with them in a vigil at the Avalon Sanctuary between 4 and 4.30, when Eileen was given another vision of him as a great Being, Zadok. Earlier Kathleen Sparks saw an altar of vivid “green, onto which came a white dove on one side and a golden eagle on the other. They were together on the altar and in between a bowl of fruit – horn of plenty – appeared and they were both eating from it. The white dove was the symbol Iona. and the eagle is always seen in connection with A.R.H.. and Glastonbury, and the horn of plenty is Findhorn.
Today Miriam received a message from Jehova which I am enclosing as I felt you would wish to share in the joy of it. It has been brought home to me these last few days that we are rising in consciousness into the New where there will be no darkness and only risen thinking. Even Lahento, one of our Space brothers who uses Dorothy as a channel and who for years has been circling the earth seeing very little hope for it, gave Dorothy a wonderful message a couple of days ago. He could see, as people were gathering together in various centres of light all over the earth, that they were rising above the gathering storms, that there was now enough power to rise above and overcome the darkness. The thought occurs to me that this is the C.M. at work and we are witnessing the results. No wonder there is only to be risen thinking on the subject.
On this joyous note I will close. All at Findhorn send much love to all at St. Annes You are constantly in our thoughts and on our hearts.
P.S. I have just read Kathleen’s long letter to you and would like to add just one or two points because she could only just touch on some of the main points of the story. At the Walker’s flat when I brought R.O.C. to her after she had recovered somewhat, she told him of her dream of meeting this cosmic Master and then went on to tell him that she recognised him as this Master. He quietly accepted this and told me that it had been coming to him from all directions; it came through Miriam when she was in Edinburgh that he was a Master who had come to teach us and that he must rise from the personality into that consciousness. He had also been told similar things by various space beings. He was also told that he was one of the Lords of Saturn.
As you can imagine, during our journey northeast we were on the constant lookout, but were told frequently by St. Germain to make no plans, that he was with us and guiding us. Every plan we made was altered, hence our late arrival at St. Annes, and our being directed to Newcastle instead of Edinburgh although R.O.C. and the Walkers were gathered awaiting us in the Walkers’ flat, so that we could arrive fresh and have time together in R.O.C.’s flat before joining the others.
Kathleen has been constantly aware of your presence with her. Elixir was told to draw her out regarding you and to put her in the picture. It also came out that Liesje knew far more of you than she let on and has known you on the inner planes for a considerable time. Elixir said that every time we talked about you, Kathleen was aware of the Christ head.
I think we had now better get this letter off to you before there are …

The letter ends abruptly there with some squiggle that might be a reminder to Peter to sign the letter. I have included this letter as it refers to A.R.H. (Ronald Heaver), another Glastonbury friend of Peter’s. C.M referred to in the letters relates to ‘Calculated Misery’ for Liebie Pugh’s suffering, which is recognised as being the instrument of her awakening to – the alternative meaning for the letters – the ‘Cosmic Manifestation’. Peter’s enthusiasm and positivity comes through very strongly here and for him, who having been out of work – an unthinkable situation for him – prior to working on the garden and all that followed from this, it is clearly an exciting time as he sees the New Age that had been promised for so long coming into being around him. Peter had read the writings of Alice Bailey early on in his occult career and was certainly aware of the approach of a new age. Now it was beginning to manifest. He clearly felt that Liebie and all she embodied and represented was a significant part of that.

Ever since Richard Grave’s first encounter and the contact between he and Liebie Pugh grew stronger Liebie had been sending out periodic newsletters to interested people. Liebie was clearly a woman of some financial resources as recent research has shown that she was noted to have supported another medium who was something of a dubious figure. She had established the first White House in Richmond outside London and then later moved to St Anne’s with her friends and entourage. Kathleen Fleming, (it is unclear whether Kathleen Fleming is the same person as Kathleen Sparks) who is mentioned, had a background with the White Eagle Lodge, a mediumistic spiritual centre focussed on the teaching of White Eagle the Red Indian guide of Grace Cooke, who founded the Lodge with her husband Ian. The Lodge also has close connections with St John and the archangel Michael.

In one Universal Link newsletter dated May 27th 1966 Liebie refers to the contents of a newsletter that went out previously and was followed up in subsequent volumes.

For those who are not quite familiar with the contents of that second part, I should say that it was simply a short account of my own lifelong interest in some form of Right or Positive thinking. This was followed up in News Letters 28, 29 and 30, with fast developing illuminations from many sources defined as aiming at Right Thinking without A Gap or Risen Thinking!

For the moment this term seems the most fitting with its lovely thought alignment with the Resurrection which Truth manifested in a recent incarnation.

For many years most of us engaged on this kind of research have tended to feel a growing dislike of the warnings that seemed so often intermingled with otherwise high and fine messages, urging humanity to live at its best level and forsake anything less. Now I have definitely observed a lightening of this situation as the messages poured in from Oh! so many sources -space visitors included – less and less was heard of: Either you heed us or… The degree of the warnings of course varied but they were present and THEY ARE LESSENING.

If one looks for a definition of the ONE who can never in any words or thoughts or concepts be defined, I know no better one than God is Light – in Him is no darkness at all.
I took this lessening of the dark ungodlike thoughts and words to mean that at last a faint approximation, was arising in men’s minds to that ALL LIGHT and therefore the minds of the sensitives of our race, were being conditioned to the point where Truth – God Light could begin to come to us with less and less distortion.

I have always found very illuminating the fact that given a dark room you can carry any sort of Light into it, but given a light room you cannot carry any sort of “dark” into it. Excuse the simplicity of this but it has always appealed to me, showing up so vividly that darkness isn’t. It is just an absence of light.

Here we seem to find our World with a bit of pre-dawn-light creeping over its mental landscape and the realization coming upon us that since darkness is solely an absence of light all that is required to lessen it and finally to dispel it is an increase of light.

It goes without saying that all of us have been feeling and to some extent practising in this direction. The response that has come to me in letters from all over the world show how completely and precisely Risen Thinking fills the immediate need and that it simply clothes in words and thoughts what Limitless Love is demonstrating in his great Universal Operation.

On account of a personal problem I have encountered, I have found an increasing need to try to practice Risen Thinking more consistently over the past year or so and find almost all who visit me or write to me about Truth’s present appearance on earth, are soon as enthralled with the value of this changed thinking as I am and many of us have found and exchanged books which help to keep us on the beam. In one News Letter there was reference to the Perfect Language and the Criterius by Sidney Cadman, both books devoted to the entire elimination of every negative word from our vocabulary, mental as well as vocal!

So all has continued, shall we say, in the right direction, but in my view not going nearly far enough. I have not found in myself or in others any serious attempt at this total elimination of negative words, thoughts and feelings.

In addition to the warnings to which I referred a few moments ago, there are often to be found in books and messages on a really high, level, references to dark forces and evil vibrations as if there were in all such experiences a positive will towards darkness, instead of what is surely the fact, a designed and balanced operation in our three dimensional world of what can perhaps most easily be thought of as negative and positive forces. The best illustration of these seemingly opposing, yet actually assisting, forces that I know of is the fact that an aeroplane must face into the opposing wind to rise. It needs that opposition.

Seen through a glass darkly, as all is in our illusionary world, that picture seems perhaps the most useful one to cover all so called negative and seemingly undesirable facets of experience, but and this is the crux of the whole matter, are we not, according to all the great messengers of light at this time, in process now of shifting or being shifted from our present known 3-dimensional vantage point, into another multi-dimensional sphere, wherein all these points are seen from a new angle?

The aeroplane has to face into the wind to rise. Yes. Till now! But as all serious space ship research shows conclusively, there are in our midst already, beings who know no such necessity, beings of such a degree of knowledge that they can operate their craft without any such limitations!
They can rise vertically, remain stationary, accelerate at incredible speeds.
I only use this as an illustration perceivable in at least a rudimentary way now; by those who have the blessing of an open mind to receive.

Recently Peter Caddy was in Kathleen Fleming’s room when St.Germain took over and held out a rod which he broke in half. He held out the two pieces, one in each hand and said: “This is the positive one and this the negative. Then he crossed his arms over his chest, each hand still holding a section of the rod and asked Peter: Which is now the positive and which the negative? There is no need to enlarge on that peerless illustration.
Now I come to the more personal part of my story. Anthony Brooke flew from the States to this country on May 13th and spent an hour or two with us in St. Annes, on his way to the Churches’ Fellowship for Psychical and Spiritual Studies Conference, on Iona.
I spoke to him about this increasing sense, I had, that we did not go nearly far
enough in this matter of Risen Thinking. We aim at it more or less in our personal lives and we try to practise it in our thoughts of others, but we quietly go on accepting as inevitable the countless prophesies of difficult days to come, during this emergence from the old into the new. A little while back I said to Mollie Thompson: “Why create latter days?” Her response was as total as usual. She said: “Its one of those things that are so obvious one cannot understand why it hasn’t been said before!”

I told Anthony this and said: “Is there any limit to the power of Risen Thinking?” He replied: “None. The creative imaging faculty has no limit.” Then he said so quietly: “As a man thinketh in his heart……

Liebie was clearly a thoughtful and evolved person. From this extract we see the same humility which is found in all great souls. They do not try to impose their views upon us but leave it to us to be open to receive their ideas. Sir George Trevelyan, whom we shall consider shortly, would insist on saying “This is not a dogma I am sharing with you. If you don’t like the idea throw it away. But if you let the idea sit with you, you may find that it grows and has a resonance with your own inner being.” He would say repeatedly the great teachers do not seek to prove or impose their ideas. It is a failing of the western academic stream that such emphasis is placed on proof. Life is a subjective experience shared with others. Yet each has a unique perspective on the experience.

In sharing with the readers the experience of Sir Anthony Brooke Liebie includes the transcript of a session he had with an American medium, Nellie Cain, “Keeper of the Flame” to Anthony Brooke and group.

“My Beloved: Love lights your way. Light infuses my children. A great revelation heralds my coming. Joy holds my disciples in a light which makes them come together in ONENESS for the CONSUMMATION of my victory. I have come in many forms and guises but they have all been One in Spirit.
I ushered in the last age in the form and through the mind of the one called Jesus, depicting through him the unity of man with God, for that age. I come through many forms and minds, as each heart is attuned to me and each mind is filled with the realization of my presence, This is the time, not of ONE CHRIST, but of many CHRISTS. The Universal CHRIST in the consciousness of man; revealed to Man through his own resurrection.
I shall not be the crucified CHRIST, or the CHRIST which hangs upon a cross, for man will have stepped out of the materiality upon which he has been hung and stretched, to the unseeing of all of that which was Divine within him. But he will have risen triumphantly in a glorious resurrection in the realization of his own Divinity.
When this has come to pass a new Day will have dawned, for man will KNOW that he is Divine, that he is Eternal. He will have transmuted all of that which is earthy into that which is heavenly. The new man has two bodies, the physical body and a resurrected spiritual body in which he will operate in the new Cosmic frequencies, recognizing himself as a Universal Being, not limited to time, space, circumstances or old mental concepts. He will behold the glory of God IN HIMSELF and in his fellowmen.
This great transmutation IS the SECOND COMING. It takes place in the hearts and consciousness of mankind.
Beloved, your work is to BE the Light, that ALL may proceed into this awareness through the enlightened mind, by having been taught by those who have come, in this age, to bring LIGHT to fulfil my mission.
As Jesus, my mission was to plant in the hearts and minds of man the CHRIST concept, the SEED of CHRIST in man, revealing to him that which was potentially his to evolve into.
In this New Age the seed will grow until it becomes the flowering shrub, which will send forth its flowering and its fruit. There now comes to man the full flowering of CHRIST awareness. But beloved ones, this is not the end. Beautiful as the flower is, it is not the ultimate in achievement, for the flower is only the nucleus for the fruit which follows the flower.
So although you will behold a flowering of the Christed Awareness, or Christ Consciousness, in the hearts and minds of men, the FRUIT of that flowering will be my world in PERFECT harmony and beauty, love, peace and fulfilment. Mankind so RIPENED in his CHRIST Consciousness that he becomes that of which one might partake to be sustained and fulfilled. For fruit has but one purpose, that it might be consumed, digested, assimilated and transmuted into life-giving properties.
When you take the fruit of the vine into your physical systems, a marvellous process takes place by which that fruit is assimilated, digested and transmuted into the blood stream of your bodies. This is in miniature, the same thing which will happen to my beloved children as they partake of the fruitage of the Christ Spirit.
As they assimilate it, digest it and transmute it, it is absorbed into the bloodstream of my world, creating, pulsating, fulfilling the life-force which becomes the motivation and fulfilment of the Divine Plan which incorporates ALL of the Universe and binds ALL together in Oneness.
Beloved, you then become the BODY of CHRIST, each fed, vitalized and sustained by the LIVING life-stream of Christ in and through you. Each sharing for the sustenance and fulfilment of ALL. For as the blood courses through your veins, it does not deny one organ, or one cell, any of the sustenance which it must distil as the life-stream passes through it.
When you are aware that you are the Divine Cosmic Body of CHRIST and that each may partake of the Living Stream of Christ Life, you will see the necessity for all to become aware of this. You will not deny anyone of MY CELLS of LIFE that life-giving essence. This means that you will give to all, irrespective of color, creed, race, or any other factor. You will realise that for the continued sustaining, growing and fulfilling of this, great BODY, each must be equally imbued with the life-stream of MY BEING.
This is the analogy of the BLOOD OF CHRIST – not the animal sacrifice – not the blood shed upon the cross, as man has so misconceived. The true BODY OF CHRIST is as your body, being sustained, revitalized, perfected and fulfilled by the flow of the blood-stream through it. When my children become as ONE in the body of CHRIST then my power, my Spirit, my Lights, my Life and my Love flow equally in and through ALL, with no restrictions and ALL are united in the
ONE BODY OF MY BEING.

This is very much the same doctrine which David Spangler brought when he visited Findhorn in the early 1970s. It is a message echoed in the numerous works of the Summit Lighthouse, mostly based on the mediumistic gifts of Elizabeth Clare Prophet, though purporting to be from various ascended masters. This is not to deny the nature of the teaching. There is no doubt that this has been carried by the western stream for many centuries. The language is inhibiting and alienating to those who do not find Christianity a sound basis for their own spiritual development. For a large part it has been dropped in the Findhorn Foundation, but it also has to be pointed out that the original teachings on which much of this is based, the Theosophical works and those of Alice Bailey, are not so entrenched in Christian symbolism. It is a fundamentalist approach to spiritual awakening, which indeed is being challenged today by the upsurge of shamanistic teachings the world over. We are experiencing the re-integration of humanity with Nature, a thing which Christianity and other Biblical religions hold to be somehow subservient to humanity and tainted. For the awakened it has always been evident that Nature is the life force of the Divine made manifest, a tradition held closely by our European forebears as well as most other cultures found in the world. It has been the part of the Findhorn Foundation to lead this re-integration through co-operation with the kingdoms of Nature, the human kingdom being only one of them.

However we should also note that this is the same language that is used when speaking of John George Govan written at the latest in the 1930s. So long had this return been expected.
