Phase Four: Trusting the Flow, Weaving Connections, and Moving Mountains

Hello again! If April was about mapping the vast literary footprint left by our collective soul and May was the high-energy rolling up our sleeves for The Universal Move, then June has been the month where our shared vision truly took flight. We have shifted our focus from the initial triage into dreaming into our long-term strategy, building bridges to the wider world, and sending out manifestations for abundance.

The rabbit hole of our amazing history still runs deep, but thanks to the backing and grace of our Community and the Findhorn Foundation Trust Trustees, our feet are finding a grounded rhythm.

Weaving Silver Threads: A Meeting of Minds and Stacks 🗺️

One of the gifts of grace this month was a wonderful alignment with the wider world. I sat down for a consultation via digital airwaves with Dr. Chris Cassells, the Head of Archives at the National Library of Scotland (NLS).

Together, we’ve been working to track down the original papers regarding the historical Findhorn Foundation deposits safely resting in the NLS stacks. We explored how to hold these materials in a way that honours ethical openness and protects intellectual property. We re grateful that the NLS are happy to share their own technical maps and templates, ensuring our local archiving sits with national standards from the start!

If the universe aligns and our grant manifestations come through, Dr. Cassells is even planning a trip to the Ecovillage this October to connect with our remaining physical materials firsthand.

Sorting the Multitudes – Caring for our Community Library books 📦

Back on the ground in the Universal Bungalow, our library sorting circle has been absolutely buzzing with vibrant life! Guided by a self-organising framework of community leads and enthusiastic volunteers, we systematically attended to a mountain of books.

As we dived into the boxes, the sorting categories expanded. Beyond our core spiritual roots, founders’ and Community members’ publications, we dedicated sections to Environment, Education, Health, Consciousness, Philosophy, Poetry, and Foreign Language volumes.

Manifesting Abundance: Sending Light to the Future 💸

To ensure these materials are held safely for the future, we spent early June sending out two heritage funding applications. Submitted under the auspices and grounding energy of Trustees Mark Anderson and Kathy Tyler, these include:

The National Archives Scoping Study: A great opportunity to fund our foundational collection assessments, conservation planning for the Park Building materials, and the upcoming NLS site visit.
The TownsWeb Archiving Digitisation Journey: Specifically focused on securing the need to preserve and digitise the photographic library waiting in the Park Building filing cabinets.

Please keep holding a focus of light, visualising abundance, and meditating with us for the success of these bids—they are the vital scaffolding we need to protect our history.
